They are whipped, drugged, confined, forced to run until their lungs bleed and their bodies break.
They are dumped in "claiming" races over and over, throughout their so-called "careers."
It is common for these horses to be trafficked for hundreds, even thousands of miles.
Broodmares are repeatedly impregnated, year after year. Untold numbers of these spent mothers end up in kill pens.
These are videos of horse racing mishaps: tossed jockeys, terrified horses being loaded into the starting gate, horses in the last moments of their lives.
