Im pretty sure that i built this correctly because i went step by step, the only thing is that the tnt isn't igniting and falling down the stream. What should I do to fix this?
Make sure you don’t have any other blocks next to where the tree is growing besides that 1 obsidian. Also make sure to try multiple times to make sure you aren’t getting unlucky with the bonemeal.
@SoyDusti idk only other thing I’d suggest is checking your obsidian placement and double checking the direction it’s placed on cuz those should be the only things causing issues
hey @Squilly4 i have a problem with the farm i've been using it a lot recently but a problem with the piston wire appeared when the button is pressed one of the pistons (the one to send the blocks back) moves super fast and the other piston (the one that pushes the observer) doesnt move at all even if the wiring is correct
It sounds like the wiring is a little messed up near the top and is causing a 0 tick to happen I’d recommend checking the part of the tutorial when I build that part of the farm, and make sure you have the repeater and dust on the correct sides. The repeater will add some time to the pulse to prevent a 0 tick causing the weird behavior you mentioned
@@Squilly4 overall i checked each part of the farm and it turned out that the tnt chamber had a stair in a wrong place so the piston wasnt moving at all due to it being more than 16 blocks (it was underground)
@@Squilly4 do you know any super cheap gunpowder farm designs by any chance? the server im playing on banned tnt duping because of your farm so now i need to use the dispencer design xd
You probably built it in the wrong direction. I mention at the start of the tutorial section of the video which direction to build the farm, check to see if you got it right
Yeah the main reason it’s that high is to prevent it from blowing itself up if you accidentally grow the tree too fast and have the TNT land on top of the tree I think in Rekrap’s Lifesteal video he uses it in, you can see he dug out a hole wide enough for the TNT to fall through instead of mining out a super large area
@@Squilly4 thanks for the advice but i already dug out like a 40x40 lol im also in a tryhard lifesteal server like rekrap its funny enough u mentioned him.
this is the best tutorial i have ever seen, not just for this farm but for anything, every farm tutorial leaves me with questions and dont mention things like i have to be facing east, this tutorial made me relaize how bad others are
This is a complex farm with a weird design but i had no messups or errors with you explaining it, it feels like its way easier to build because you are calm and accordingly slow to allow us to actually build unlike others. thank you! it works great btw
I’m glad the style of the tutorial was able to explain it well enough for you to understand something that you didn’t before! I never really considered how alien this thing may look to other players, so I’m glad I put as much detail into the tutorial as I did.
@@Squilly4 i did on a vanilla 1.21 server and i watched it like 5 times and made sure i built it right, it still didnt work (the duper) i ended up having to just scrap it and build a different farm
thanks!! And tbh it probably has more than it normally would have if rekrap didn’t shout it out, but I barely post videos ever so ig the silly algorithm doesn’t like that lol
The tnt don't go off. I think the signal doesn't go up to the dispenser the piston doesn't push up the blocks at the bottom all i've done is corect. But how to fix that? Im playing on java in donut smp and i maked the dispenser version. Can someone please help me fast:)
If Litematica is allowed in that server I’d highly recommend trying to import the schematic that I have linked in the description and try to line it up with what you have built in order to make sure everything is correct
@slakteren6524 In vanilla pistons can push up to 12 but maybe it’s 7-8 in your server If that’s the case then the farm will not work properly since the pistons under the dirt won’t be able to push the tree because of how tall they grow. Sorry about this
No idea, jungle 2x2 trees 100% don’t work for this but according to some other ppl the 1x1 version works. I haven’t tested that at all so I can’t tell you.
Hey this is really chill gj. although shouldn't u promote it as a dark oak farm? I feel like that's intrigue more people as most don't assume you can get dark oak from a typical tree farm and this one seems to specialise in that. I just know from my simple tree farm I get a lot of people asking about dark oak and all I can do is 🤷♂️
Yo Ncolyer, thanks! I didn't promote it as a dark oak farm because this farm is intended to be used as an early game wood farm for those who are looking for wood without caring about the type. The mechanics just happened to work best with Dark Oak. I think keeping it simple and advertising it as a general wood farm is a good way to go about it.
Honestly I really like your videos. I love the old style, not using over the top editing, loud music, or bad jokes. Keep up the great work! RIP squilly respawn system
Thanks! Although I think you can definitely find some of those things in my older videos xD But yeah for this video I knew what ppl were coming for, so there was no reason to be over the top about it, and that’s also just not the kind of person I am lol
No idea, never tested it myself as this farm was not made with that in mind, but if I had to make an educated guess I’d say to put them on the block underneath the highest obsidian so it will height limit the tree. I think someone said you might want to move that obsidian down by 1 block as well but idk
Some ppl have gotten it to work with all the 1x1 tree types except for Mangrove, but the other 2x2 trees like Spruce and Jungle 100% don’t work I haven’t tested the other 1x1 trees tho so I can’t guarantee good performance
Squilly I built this farm on a paper server with tnt duping enabled but it dosent work. I think the issue is that the observer in the tnt duper dosent get triggerd when it is moved. Do you know how to fix this?
I think in IanXOFour’s universal tree farm video he links a paper-compatible TNT duper in the description or something. I’m not able to put it together rn but I think it’s possible. I’ll look at it later today if I remember
@@Squilly4 I fixed the issue, it turns out I was stupid and had the repeater in the top section on 2 instead of 1. It works perfectly on paper with that fix and tnt duping enabled
