I've been working with JB Hunt Intermodal for 3 weeks now I like it. I work the weekend wrap shift at night and it's not bad like I thought it would, it's actually cool that I don't deal with traffic for the majority of my shift lol. Dispatch is laid back and won't force shit on you and pay is pretty decent. Gross I'm making about $1450-1500 every week and that's really only driving 8-9 hrs a day, which to be isn't bad at all. I'm sure if I worked 12 hours a day, I could easily net $1500 a week. I know this video is old, but just my two cents.
Come to Walmart, make more money doing way less. You got enough experience. 25 paid days off a year starting off. 5/2 schedule gets you home in your bed 3 nights a week. 100k a year or stay wasting your life away.
Not all Walmart workers are making good money I hear alot of you guys crying like babies about not making money. I work in the Walmart fleet for my company so I run into you guys a lot and let’s say I make more than you guys. 😂😂😂
@@mpp0919 I make 1900 to 2000 a week I’ve seen some of you guys “2 week paychecks” and it was only about 3000-3500 sometime less than that 😂😂😂 the grass ain’t always greener pal
@@mpp0919 where are you based out of? because I can get some Walmart workers that I know personally to come on here and comment for their selves and call your bluff. Not every Walmart driver is making 100k a year stop the lies.
I'm an ex-JBHT fleet and account manager 2011-19. Even for managers the pay in certain regions is just bad. The company had these really poor metrics for "regional pay differences" where if you were in the LA Basin or the 6 counties of the Bay you were Region 4 and had a 10% COL bump, but if you were in Sacramento/Stockton or the IE you were either a Region 3 or 2. If you're in the Midwest/Midsouth, it's pretty good. In the west (Especially anything remotely Bay Area) we had manager turnover in a bad way. I am sorry to hear that the San Bernardino ramp switch didn't work out. Hope things are well with that baby and with car hauling. If you are hauling Teslas and you end up through Lathrop, I might just see you there.
Damn, ya made it look so easy! Im 2 weeks into my training at my company, and I've got literally everything down except for backing. Paperwork, pre-trip, driving safe on the road for 11 hours, no problem. Thanks for the help, I'm hoping to get this down in the next few days so the last 2 weeks of my training are just practice practice, not struggling and getting frustrated woth backing 😅

I’m with Jb hunt now, Semi local, out In the truck for two. Nights a week but those days out in the truck are spaced out. The other 3 days are all local home every night. 1640 a week before taxes.
Accepting driver facing cameras is a brain dead decision. You are helping them replace you with AI. Your driver patterns are being forced to be robotic so that robots can track the same habits and replicate.
I’m thankful and grateful if I’m making $1000 a week. I got off the road for about 4 months and ended up in a warehouse ( Genesis Logistics) working in a -10 degrees freezer for 12 hours! I was begging the Lord to put me back in the truck 😅. The grass is NOT greener on the other side if you don’t have one of 4 things: Connections, a degree, a certification or real skills.
