Hey everybody! Welcome to our channel. We're Danny and Niamh, two cousins from Ireland who LOVE watching movies and tv shows. We thought it would be fun to start recording our reactions and sharing them with the internet. If you love movies as much as we do - feel free to sit back, grab a snack and enjoy a Coyzy movie night with us!
53:04 “He didn’t look like a good guy” Paul is the protagonist, and it’s easy to assume that means he’s the hero of the story, but those aren’t always the same thing.
They didn't know that they was living in caves in the mountains. The goat's was meat and milk to have and eat. They was already in the mountains and our men didn't know it
Such a simple, straightforward movie concept that could have easily fallen to the side like so many cliches in this genre, and yet the ability of them to make this not only consistently riveting but emotionally devastating is what brilliant filmmaking looks like.
Clancy Brown who plays Captain Hadley is well known as being the voice of Mr. Crabs in Sponge Bob Square Pants. Alfonzo Freeman, Morgan Freeman's son, provides Red's parole photos. Alfonzo has a speaking part in the film; he's the "we're reel'n 'em in" guy at Andy's arrival. Surprisingly Brooks' and Red's room at the Brewer is actually located inside the prison.
I was only 14 in 1999.. I was exposed to cable TV only in 1997, and this was the first English movie I watched at the theater.. I remember my cousin brothers(they're siblings; they were 19 and 20 back then), dragging me with them to the theater even when I wasn't interested in watching this in 1999.. But by the 3rd installment, it was me who had to drag those two(because they were through with studies and had jobs by the time Matrix: Revolutions released).. That's how impactful these movies were back then on my younger self..
28:35 Fat guys can be amazingly strong, especially their legs, which have to carry around all that weight all the time (plus the fat serves a bit like armor). Generally not much in the way of stamina, but a fat guy who knows what he's doing can really f* you up before he gasses out.
I’ve watched a few of these Matrix reactions. Yours is the best so far. I guess the only way to kind of capture the thrill of watching it the first time is to see someone else’s first time.
Don't forget, the boys know they're dealing with a government agency that has sworn them to secrecy, has eyes and ears all over town, and that has killed to keep its secrets in the past. There's a huge risk associated with them telling anyone outside of those already in the know about the Upside Down, so they're not simply being mean in excluding Max, they're trying to keep her, themselves, and their families safe. I always enjoy your reactions and subsequent discussions. Danny's great at theorising and Niamh, you play it so cool, haha. Keep 'em coming guys.
HUGE plot hole with Jonathan's and Nancy's plan. I know they used the phone on purpose so those at the lab would listen in and would intercept them at that park and Nancy and Jonathan just knew that they would be taken to the lab, so they then could get a confession of some sort on tape. However - Nancy DID in fact talk to Mrs. Holland (Barb's mom). She told her to meet them there and that she hadn't been completely honest and that there was something she wanted to tell her about Barb. Um - So, where was Barb's mom? She would've rushed right over there to hear something about her MISSING DAUGHTER. She probably would've beaten them to that park and would've been waiting there for them. So, why did she never show? Nancy and Jonathan were waiting there for quite a while. What did Nancy end up telling Barb's mom? They left before Mrs. H showed (if she ever showed) and we NEVER see again what Nancy could possibly have told her regarding Barb. I wonder if there was a deleted scene or something where they at least give some off-handed explanation of what Nancy told her. ????
Right 😭😭 I was wondering about this myself. I assume the lab people will have somehow intervened to stop her parents going to the park - showed up at their house under some guise. After that I suppose Barb’s mom only has to wait a few weeks in reality before finding out the truth through Murray. Maybe Nancy just avoided her until then? Lol
@@CoyzyMovieNight Yeah, they kind of goofed on this one since it would have made no sense "in universe." Barb's mom would definitely not just leave it at that and would desperately want to know what Nancy had to say.
I can't believe you didn't include the clip of the Joker questioning the fake Batman in the meat processing room, where the Joker gave his maniacal laugh. The best scene in the movie.
10:50 The government made them sign NDA's so legally they can't tell anyone anything, which is why Nancy is struggling with not being able to tell Barbarax's parents about her death.
Don't forget, though, that they face far more than legal consequences if they're caught disclosing anything about the Upside Down and the lab. They're dealing with a government agency that has eyes and ears all over town and that has killed to keep its secrets in the past. Speaking out to anyone would risk their own lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the lives of anyone they inform.
_The Matrix_ is a fantastic film that holds up to this day with its trippy narrative, specific themes, and unique tones through its color palette, music selection, and most importantly its revolutionary visual FX. A representative of 90s counterculture with questioning authority and freedom allowed within the digital realm, _The Matrix_ is also one of the great “gun fu” films ever made - paying direct homage to Hong Kong style action filmmaking popularized by filmmakers such as John Woo. Yet it also paved the way for action and sci-fi films to come afterwards. Truly a classic American achievement of film. Also, one of the great endings of all time with the song “Wake Up” by Rage Against the Machine.
You guys NEED to do The Green Mile next; another Stephen King based story and again directed by Frank Darabont and nearly as good but FAR more of a tear jerker. GO GO GO!!
FNAF is actually a fascinating story, and its still not over yet. You should watch some lore videos about it. I don't play the games but I have watched them all played, and I have the books.
