I wish you had gone through Art of Finance even a tiny bit. I heard you say you didn't use it, although if youre reviewing the bundle, leaving it out is a bummer
We left it out because I had already purchased something else to cover that topic … I’ll be revisiting this curriculum with my daughter next year I’ll definitely be using it with her!
Yes,,, Mc Marie on TPT … we love those literature studies. The are very well rounded in the sense that you get Vocabulary, grammar along with literary comprehension
I like the reading lesson MUCH better. I checked out 100 easy lessons at the library and knew it wasn't going to work for me and my 5 year old. Pages are way too busy. I bought The Reading lesson from Amazon after seeing this review and it is going great. The book is very straightforward and fun for my kid. She looks forward to coloring and doing the different activities.
I don’t know why there aren’t more wrestling gyms around. I’ve been trying to get my 9 year old into a wrestling program here in north Tx and we just don’t have them available. Found 1 very expensive, over commercialized place. 😩

Yeah you can leave them as long as you want!! What I’ve come to realize is that it doesn’t matter how long or short,, using them for the whole entire school year is still going to create some kind of wear and tear on the coils and on the pages there’s no avoiding it 😅
If the shower curtain trick doesn't work, JoAnns/Amazon carries an iron-on vinyl that will make the fabric water resistant on one-side. I think the brand is Heat-n-Bond.
Thanks for sharing your haul! you should totally share your buys more often! I like the jars for storing art supplies. I might get some to store our math manipulative. (if I can find them at my dollar tree lol).
I bought similar folders and they worked out quite well. They didn't rip as easily and the ones I bought had erasable labels, but sure you can attach any label on there. Mine even dumped liquid on their folder and it wiped up easily without damaging the paperwork. I ended up just having the kids stack their folders in a drawer or off to the side, couldn't find something to hold them without being bulky.
No unfortunately I don’t !! in all honesty. If I remember correctly, I don’t believe it was an actual teachers guide it was more of a pacing guide. It just kind of broke down the lessons into like a weekly schedule not super Duper necessary you can just do one lesson a day or one lesson a week
Do you just teach sewing based on what you know or do you have a book/curriculum/videos that you use for practice? I can show my daughter the basics of hand sewing but that's about it. She's very interested in learning and I think it's an important skill to know, so I'm looking for some guidance. Also, she's 9 right now for reference. :)
I’m self thought when it comes to sewing ,, I find easy to follow small projects on Pinterest so that’s my main resource for projects.. but it helps that I know how to sew !
😊 we have to have our kitchen gated off ,, our dogs are too big and tend to be little knuckle heads ,, they dig in the trash and eat off our kitchen island. So yeah we had to gate it off 😂

Genuine question: is it not concerning that there is no information about the author(s) of the curriculum available anywhere on the website? Like, who wrote it, what standards are they going by, what are the credentials/expertise of the author(s)?
I can see how that can be concerning for some,, for me in all honesty it’s not! I mean, there are tons of curriculum out there that are created by simple, homeschool moms like us that are amazing !! when I first purchased it, I purchased the high school level because I just wanted to be able to handle the subjects that I needed for credits. I ended up liking it that much I ended up getting the seventh grade level for my younger boy, from what I’ve read, I don’t believe they follow common core standards, but they do follow grade level standards as far as what subjects and information needs to be taught at what grade. In all honesty for me, as long as the content and the standards of the curriculum align with my educational goals
I agree that it may be ai writing generated, but I also think it can be useful for someone who doesn’t have time to do curated lessons or as a supplement to a child who may be more unschooled. I purchased it mostly because I may end up having to work here soon for my 8th grader who will mostly be more unschooling.
I contacted the company, and I learned that this curriculum is developed by homeschool parents and educators. It is copyrighted with the US Copyright Office, which means it is not AI-generated. Since AI-generated material cannot be copyrighted, and this curriculum was copyrighted in 2013, it predates the use of AI. I thought you might find this information helpful. They do have an About Us page.
Overall, would you recommend the science curriculum to secular families as an open-and-go curriculum? Would I need to supplement or prep for the lesson?
It depends!!! If you are the type that needs heavy workbook lessons with a ton of Q&A ,, I would say no ,,, this is a lot lighter most lessons have about 2-3 comprehension questions it also requires a notebook for notes and notebooking … I personally prefer that …
I just purchased this curriculum for my two oldest girls after watching your videos! Thank you for sharing! How do you assign work, do they have a planner or a notebook with their assignments? And do you keep track of their grades? I know Texas isn’t strict on that. Just wondering how my fellow Texas homeschool moms are doing it. I have 3 kiddos, going into 9th, 6th and 2nd so you’re videos are super helpful😊
Thank you !!! In all honesty I don’t plan much or prep ,, especially for this one the reason I like it , is because we can just go lesson by lesson the majority of all the subjects have 180 lessons so we’re gonna be doing one lesson a day
I had to google maps 📍 at times for a state that was an eassy rather recent for 8th Grade Socal Studies). Especially doing 1690). Man my dyslexia brian was fried). Like wow). It was South Carolina when it was a colony finding a map from that time very difficult to find took me like 3 hours to find it). What i did was i save 💾 & file it. If u need suggestions to find maps 🗺️ for geography i can give recommendations). I use grammely app it is recommended for dyslexia ur oldest can use it on the iPad, PC, MacBook laptop 💻, cell phone 📱, for pouncing words). Before i used it a lot people roasted me on Instagram a lot people were not nice). I use Seri to pronounce as well ). It has helped my spelling improve a lot i barely get roasted by anyone anymore. My boyfriend & I use it a lot ). We can't wait to homeschool When we both have kids one Day! & married! If i see dyslexia i can use the tips for my Future kids). The gift of dyslexia program). For that).

That’s unfortunate you had to deal with a bad friend ,,, I’m sure that had nothing to do with being Atheist, they were most likely just not pleasant people.. If they disliked having religious conversations, then that just shouldn’t have been a topic to discuss,, most atheists would rather not talk about religion as usually that’s not a topic that we care too much about .. I personally don’t mind discussing religion, but that is because I like to study religions every thing from founders yo followers alike . I promise most of us are nice !
Thank you for this! I would love a more in-depth look at the All-In-One curriculum, espectially the 7th grade. I am looking at using it for my 5th and 7th graders this year. I'm currently looking at the lesson plans and trying to pick out extra books to go along with social studies, science and literature. 😊

Yes,, I received a comment about the curriculum that made me want to gather more information on it (authors , and credentials ) … I just haven’t had time to .. that’s all … I just wanna make sure I have enough information up. I don’t want anybody thinking that I’m just trying to sell them on something. Ps we love it , I’m still using it .. I think the ladies concern was that there’s no authors listed on the website so I was just gonna try to figure out that information for you guys

They told me that at this they maintain a policy of not disclosing specific names or personal details of their team members publicly due to their privacy. They also stated that their curriculum is developed through collaborative efforts of a diverse group of educators, subject matter experts, & instructional designers. Just thought you would like to know that! I am still planning on using this year, i have looked through it & it looks wonderful to me!

Vocabulary workshop was awesome ,,it just took too long .. I was looking for something he could complete within 10-15 minutes also something he could do completely independently … the review pages are in the Vocabulary Cartoon book ,,, I have the ebook as well so I just made copies of those review pages
