Dang, that thing came sparkly clean! I have a 1999 Chevy Tracker, which has pretty much the exact same setup. I may give this a go this weekend! I came here from a Suzuki forum about cleaning the IAC and found your link to this video. I appreciate it!
Did you feel the engine running any differently after cleaning the PCV valve? I'm loathe to spend £60 for a new one in my 180k mile Mk2 Prius so hoping such a clean will be the free option.
changing the spark plugs definitely made engine run better, but I did pcv cleaning just in case, to see if it was clogged, as you see it was not too dirty
@@Petruccio1881 I just wire brushed the Iridiums in mine but it didn't seem to do much, but I also fitted 17" wheels about same time so that's slowed me down a little 😄 Partsouq sell those PCV valves for a LOT less than stealerships so I might try a new one if a clean doesn't make her feel a little smoother or more efficient 🤔
@@Petruccio1881 thats qhat ive always heard too, but if thats the case i wonder y all cars when they come with factory fogs, theyre always clear lens or regular bulbs?

Great job! Are gen 2's 1.5L? I ask because PCV is in the back. If you're going thru all the trouble, just replace it. Plugs are nicely done! Good pointer on not having to remove cowl. Like that u used silicone on coils. 👍✊🖖🇺🇸 I have a gen4 & am interested in ALL prius videos. 😉 PS. I like the music!
I have a Prius I bought new in 2008. It currently has 320,000 miles. It has this problem from time to time. After watching this, it's pushed me over the edge to buy a new Prius. lol

@@Petruccio1881 Yeah I know But I'm this video you installed halogen bulbs. My question is what did you do to make them fit into the HID headlight housing. You seem to rip something out. I don't want to install Led bulbs because of the extra steps. I don't want HID lights because of that issues. I just sent to install regular halogen bulbs. But you don't really explain what you are doing in the video
I'm changing HID headlight set with halogen headlight set, so now I can fit any halogen H4 socket bulb in it, and also LED buld with H4 socket, that's it, there is no other philosophy or rocket science in this video
I just received my manta turtle, and I love it. I got the more striking one bc I already have several nice watches with more reserved dials. The turtle is a legend model.
Hola Tengo un grand nomade 2.0 2005 Tengo una falla que no logran identificar En vehiculo en relenti funciona muy bien Al momento de iniciar el recorrido 1y2 impecable pero al momento de acelerar para pasar a 3ra el vehiculo vibra y se apaga .., que puede ser? Le cambié bujias bobinas ,se limpio cuerpo de aceleración. Entre otras cosas y la falla persiste.
Thanks, this helped me figure out how to make this changeover. Was tired of buying new HID ballasts, they are more expensive than a 2 pack of high quality regular bulbs...
hi my hradlights are foggy wanna replace entire housing . why are HID headlight housing for this car way more expensive than halogen housing . they look the same to me
HID technology is different from halogen, bulbs are different and lightning of course. that's why... there are lots of videos how to clean foggy headlights, see them and clean yourself, it's easy.
@@larryzan8942 no, without power tool, soak sandpaper and sand the surface slowly, after dry it with towel and put some NuFinish cream on a soft cloth and polish with slow motion the surface of the headlight
