honestly the way they drew her in the comics makes her oddly better. just black and white looks pretty decent on her! (tho the maya engine models honestly make every design look... Kind of bad)
Less lazy more practical since all summer does until they bothered characterizing her in vol 9 was stand there like the Uncle Ben she is. Ya if Pyrrha is the Gwen Stacy of RWBY (the dead love interest that hack writers keep digging up for “the feels” to the point where her death is her only memorable trait) then Summer is certainly the Uncle Ben (The dead parental figure whose death motivates the hero that writers dig up sometimes for feels and remind the hero to keep going)
Honestly when the maidens were first revealed i figured that the 4 girls would each get a maiden season by the end. Ruby with Spring, Yang with summer, blake with fall, and weiss with winter.
Yuu finally came out...and unfotunately she has a dopple named Morfine and it's in the shape of what i can only describe as a steel unicorn. The mystery of Candy CONTINUES!!!
2 years late to post this but team rwby specifically have never been heroes, they've been vigilantes. huntsman have always felt like merceneries aligned with the governments they were trained by or in the case of atlas a military aligned with the government. are all huntsman altruistic heroes like pyrrah? No. are they all rule breaking, riot inciting, kingdom destablizing gremlins like later seasons team RWBY and crew? No. huntsman come in all sorts of alignments if i can borrow from d&d ranging from lawful good to sometimes even chaotic evil/neutral depending on how you look at it. My only hope for Vacuo is with everyone resolving their inner turmoil (supposedly) and everyones laundry being aired out that we can get team RWBY back to being that pillar of hope that ozpin thought they'd be. At the very least if they can't then bench them and focus more on team JNR . because at the very least Ren and Nora are TRYING to do the right thing but struggle. and Jaune has done his best to be a REAL hero throughout the story.
“this is the thanks I get” is a torture method on its own. if you play it blasting in my ears while demanding me to speak, I would SPILL not only the beans, the whole BREAKFAST
my question was always why the gods did what they did. why were HER actions so much more important that anyone else? why they, destroy the world because of only her actions. why was she so important to them.
Two years late but I'd thought that Yu would be more related to a Japanese myth. I forgot what the myth is called, though. I believe it's called... Kuchisake Onna? The myth is a girl who is wearing a mask, hiding her mouth that is just gaping wide open just like how Nagisa's mother described and comes up to someone asking "Am I beautiful?". If the person says no, the person will be killed by her.
People do tend to underestimate the effort that goes into detail-oriented designs. While, there can be reasons to not do so, those who enjoy doing it shouldn’t be shamed for it either.
I also just hated the puffy sleves of her jacket. They crowded the upper part of her body/head too much for my liking. But honestly, turn her browns into blacks would fix so much.
Did Asha really want to be all wishes granted? I thought she only wanted to give them their wishes back because they all forgot what was their biggest wish in life by giving it to Magnifico. They gave away a huge part of themselves? Making themselves dependent on the king instead of working for their dreams.
I do hope for season 2 the cast gets new designs, not to go like all out with extremely different looks but like a different set of clothes that focus on their personalities a bit more and a bit better
I feel book 3 was necessary regardless of quality because it humanized the fire nation. Some people didn't like that, but I feel those people are at best wrong and at worst lack empathy.
Honestly, I didn't know Beyond/Epilogue existed until I wondered in to your channel last night. To be fair, after the mess that was volume 8, the filler-arc that was volume 9, two broadly forgettable lower-end direct to video movies, and all the internal issues, I'd have to suspect the only people still paying any attention at all are reviewers/critics, and a small slowly dwindling pool of die-hard RWBY fans. If they want people paying attention again then they're either going to need a volume so good that shakes the pillars of heaven, or a reboot of some kind under someone other than RT.
I believe in it because of my experience. I capture not only the voices i capture transfiguration. Full face apparitions. I have published such transfiguration. Shown on camera as it happens . Its not all the time . Its like painting with light . It manifests . Sounds strange but it does happen but not on ghost tv shows . Zak is not connected spiritual in any way . He is a narcissist baying for attention. 😢
That's supposed to represent that she's crazy in some ways.Because she's a bomb she explodes. That's her design so she's supposed to look like a lot in one go
Your review of the character designs was so good and made me realize why I probably felt so overwhelmed when I first watched the pilot. It’s extremely busy visually and, combined with the abrupt cuts and movements, it became very jarring very quickly.
I think it would have been interesting instead of pyrha it was yang or weiss Like another crow vs winter thing both putting their family forward Ruby wouldnt be included as with her silver eyes would already put a target on her back and blake has no ties to ozpins inner circle Like i think having like yang/weiss getting hurt by cinder would feel more personal as it stood pyrha and ruby didnt interact much
Kristoff should've been a wise cracking woman to have her be a surrogate older sister for Anna as a parallel to Elsa so anna can get a taste of that relationship again
