One of my favourite theories is "Adam is Raven's student". I think it's just strange that they look so similar for no reason.

Making Emerald the new Fall Maiden would’ve been a great story direction. Most would agree that Cinder has overstayed her welcome, so her death at the hands of Raven would’ve been a fitting and ironic send-off for her, while Emerald becoming her successor would push her character into an interesting new direction, without redeeming her right away.

the hound having a silver eyed warrior inside of them feels like a parallel to the story of little red riding hood making Rudy red riding hood, Summer red's grandma and the hound the big bad wolf

jaune being related to salem is actually really interesting but i would only really entertain the idea if jaune/JNPR were the protagonists instead of ruby and her team

My headcanon is that Salem actually never met Summer and has been playing pretend all along. I just find it weirdly funny. Yang: "You killed my mom! Summer Rose!" Salem: "Oh, so *that's* her name. Thank you, dear. That will make it much easier to manipulate your sister in the future. Now I just need to think of a good story where I destroyed this....Equinox Tulip? No, right. Summer Rose." Yang: "What?! But I thought you killed her!" Salem: "Killed her?! I never even met the woman! If Ruby had asked me even a single question through the Seer, like how her mother died, then my entire plan to break the silver eyed nuisance would have been trashed." Yang: "But...." Salem: "I lied. That's what I do. Has nobody ever taught you girls to not trust strangers? Oh, right. No mother."

Here's a fun set of theories that I'm not sure have been discussed: What stopped the bomb from falling at the end of Vol. 8? Theory 1: The most obvious reading is that Clover's medal causes his good luck to come through one more time... somehow? Theory 2: The bomb not falling was actually an act of Qrow's bad luck. Qrow's semblance is said to be proximity-based, and the bomb not falling did save Mantle, it also put everyone nearby in immediate danger. Theory 3: IMO the most interesting possibility; Qrow's semblance isn't actually misfortune, but a more broad _luck manipulation._ It's just because he always negative and always expects the worst that the worst always happens, but in a moment when he desperately wants something to go _right,_ it does.

I didn't know the ozma kids reincarnated was debunked. I really enjoyed the idea that Oz, Salem, and those girls were dealing with immortality in different ways.

5:15 It has been said that Faunus have better night vision than Humans. Though this scene is by far the worst in the entire show, in terms of plot holes & contrivences. Off the top of my head we have: >Nobody in the crowd using scrolls as light sources or even a flash light >There being no Faunus who can see in the dark nor anyone with a light emitting semblence to use (or even Marrow's STAY) >Watts being able to hack the Penny's eyes (but not the rest of her) to remove Tyrian from her vision (somehow) but also not be able to hack the rest of her to do his bidding at this moment >Penny's green glowy lights not playing a role >When the lights come back on everyone assumes it was Penny because she stood in the centre of the stage around the dead bodies, because she was lured there >Nobody realises Penny's swords have no blood on them, nor do they realise that if Penny was the culprit that she didn't hide it very well, if she is still standing in the centre of the room (Ironwood's robot + mob panick = guilty enough) >People assuming the election was hacked because Jacque one but not that the attack would have been unnecessary and only drew attention to it and make the whole thing super suspicious

Now I want Emerald to befriend the Summer maiden and become a maiden that way. The angst and potential character moments when Cinder comes after her and proves without a doubt she does NOT give a damn about Em to her face.

The last theory idea is genius I'm sure the idea will never come across the writers minds.

I fully believed the Ozpin's daughters maiden theory because he had his children *after* he reincarnated, so his reincarnation, and Salem's undying nature created a sustainable magic that transfers. It's possible Ozpin doesn't know for certain these are his daughters, but to lose 4 magical daughters and then see 4 magical girls pop up it's only natural to assume it was his or Salems magic. Giving 4 random girls powers does kind of line up with him doing things like turning 2 students into birds though It's possible that he gave up almost all his magic, but why is their magic seemingly endless? maybe it is finite and we havent seen it. We'll never know unless RT confirms. Rooster teeth isn't that subtle though, I feel like we wouldn't have been shown 4 color coded daughters if it wasn't supposed to be the maidens.

As someone who didn't watch volume 9, I am uniquely unqualified to talk on the latest theories. That being said, my favorite theory I knew the writers would never do was to pull a Wizard of Oz and have all the characters in Wonderland be mirror images of the characters who have died, with Penny being the white rabbit, Pyrrha being the Red Queen, Torchwick being the Mad Hatter, Watts being the March Hare, Tyrian or Adam being the Cheshire Cat, Ironwood being the Red Queen's executioner, etc. I just think it would have been more interesting to have characters we already knew back, rather than bringing in a whole bunch of new ones while we have RWBY+Neo+Jaune deal with a new place.

I do like the idea of Salem ascending, and like you said in the video, team rwby would have to go through a lot of hoops to get her there. But what if, she willingly goes? She ascends into a mortal form so she can finally die, it's what she wanted before she fell into the pool of grimm

It's not stated clearly in the show, but I personally believe that finding all the relics and bringing the god brothers back is Salem's final try of suicide. Because the gods will surely not spare this world. And if nothing can kill her, maybe wiping the whole world would bring her peace. And adding to that, if we want to connect the main plot with volume 9's shananigans, Salem could possibly ascend if told that she would lose immortality and could finally die. A bittersweet ending, quite on brand with the show.

YES, Tyrion, YES... Moar disabled villains! MOAR! (I just have Russell T Davies' now infamous words echoing in my head as you said about him being blind, and I find that hilarious - btw, as a former actor, villains are some of the most fun roles that you can play, and so the idea of denying disabled people the opportunity for "representation" on such ludicrous grounds is frankly repugnant, yet Davies is so absolutely fanatical about it; yeah, I'm sure everyone totally looks at Davros and is like: wow, all people in wheelchairs are evil genocidal mutants). Neo is conceptually epic. And it actually makes a lot of sense for that scene if Tyrion was blind. The punch from Qrow doesn't feel like it would work, but if Tyrion expected the blade to be wielded in that moment and misjudged it as a result, plus the overly drawn out walk, it would go a long way to fixing the only real flaws in that fight. It's also possible that they originally intended for him to be partly blind, and they forgot about it.

I thought, back in v7 when Oz was being moody, that the squad would use the aura transfer machine and penny’s synthetic life form that can produce an aura tech to pull Oz out of Oscar and give him a robot body

Ngl I was really onbaord with the "Salem Ascends theory" until you pointed out why it wouldn't work. I think team RWBY would have to do some heavy talk no jutsu to pull it off. Or they could tell her ascension is a way she could turn into something that could die and she can finally find peace. On a side note, who do you think the summer maiden will be? ... Now every time I see a clip of Tyrian, I see more credit to this theory. Even in the very same setting as the Qrow fight, when his tail is revealed in the fight vs. RNJR, his "Surprise..." doesn't even have him looking at the opponent he's blocking. He looks like he's zoned out on the delivery itself. Damn, kinda would have loved Blind Tyrian.

is it just me or do i think the summer maiden will be summer herself like she's been this figure thats been teased the entire show and like in vacuo all of ruby and yangs family will be there since raven might coming back due to the rtx teaser

I thought Tyrian let Qrow walk past because letting Qrow get his sword would make the fight more "fun" for him, and that's a bigger priority than just immediately winning for him. I mean, a lot of the other scenes (like him picking off single people in atlas) he kinda likes to play with his food.

When Yang first got her arm cut off, I remember reading a theory that she was going to regrow it in the next season. The argument was that a dragon (Taiyang) + a bird (Raven) = a phoenix (Yang) so Yang would have regenerative powers.

The whole Tyrian bit of Jaune just struck me as him being gay. He went " Damn , hey cutie ! You look interesting !" Just a silly though XD .

I mean considering Salem wants to die, you could just… tell her about it. Ozpin made the vaults where those objects reside, so it stands to reason Salem might be able to crack into the same power. She could fall through the world on purpose. Alternatively, once our team has all four maiden powers, reassembling Ozma’s full power, they could work together to open a portal that sends her through.

I did not know that Winter bleaching her hair was a Theory, but I did come here to talk about something interesting I did with the Schnees cause I was tired of them looking like Copy & Pasted versions of Weiss over and over again. In my redesigns and rewrites, Willow Schnee, Weiss Schnee, & Nicholas Schnee(not that I give a shit about him) are the only Schnees have true genetic White Hair, Jacques obviously has Black hair that he was bleaching before his old age eventually whitened out, and Winter & Whitley both have black hair, but because Jacques is so transfixed on the idea of the “Perfect Schnee Image” he is/was forcibly bleaching their hair, still bleaches Whitley’s hair as Whitley is still young and hasn’t expressed the same desire to leave Weiss & Winter have, whilst Winter has allowed her Black hair to grow normally, no longer under Jacque’s control.

Personal idea RT won't do....make a FTM character one of the maidens...more trans inclusion and also a really good way to hide a maiden in plain sight and have an interesting story point.

Personally, since the end of Volume 9, I’ve thought that there was a bunch of evidence as to how Salem will be defeated at the end of the show. My theory is that using the Silver Eyes and some of the Maiden magic could somehow bypass Salem’s immortality and kill her. That whole scene in Volume 9 where Raven and Summer are talking about going on that secret mission, feels like it has to be connected to Salem. We also still don’t know who made the first wish on the Lamp, but considering how Raven would be the only one who had access to the Lamp’s vault implies that she learned some special knowledge that we didn’t learn from the Volume 6 Salem/Ozma backstory. It feels weird how confident Raven is in the Volume 9 compared to her in the modern day, the whole “There is no defeating Salem!” thing. Also, the fact that Salem went from “Send assassins to deal with Silver Eyed people” to “Transform Silver Eyed people into Grimm hounds.” implies that something happened with Salem that made her realize how dangerous Silver Eyed people are. Essentially I think that Raven and Summer went to try and kill Salem over in the Grimmlands, and almost succeeded. However, Salem, absolutely furious at being on death’s door, retaliated and threw Summer into one of the Grimm pools. Raven retreated and Summer, through her Silver Eyed powers, managed to resist being destroyed by the Grimm pool, but ended up becoming the first Grimm hound. What do you all think about it?

As expected, another fantastic video. A few fun theories, some I believe in, with a couple micro-headcanons mixed in. Your interpretation of the Maiden Tale is very plausible and neat. The icing on the cake is the Ozma Ascension Theory. Splitting the souls of Ozma and Oscar would be genius. It would give Team RWBY another powerful member to their team, add drama with Salem, and tidy up a certain little ship. However, there would be a ticking clock when trying this since Ozma's and Oscar's souls would eventually merge into one. Given the indeterminate time between Atlas' fall and the end of Vol. 9, it might be too late. Thank you and have a lovely day. P.s. (Okay, a little rant. I apologize in advance.) It is just me and only me, but I always get irked when people say Aura Amp is Jaune's Semblance. The man didn't even unlock his Aura before Vo. 1 and people are saying he discovered it within a year/ year-and-a-half? The earliest possible showing of it would've been during the Jaundice Arc when Cardin was about to punch him. His Aura pulsed and blanked out the screen, leaving Cardin with a hurt hand and a ringing in the air. I am under the belief that during this instance and all the others, Jaune isn't using a Semblance, he is just utilizing the vast stores of Aura that Pyrrha mentioned. Think about it: Ren used Storm Flower and his Aura during his King Taijitu Fight, blocking the fangs with Aura Pulses, Not a Semblance. A fighter's weapons and clothing don't get damaged in a fight, why? Because it was confirmed that Aura protects all of them in battle, Not a Semblance. Jaune has shown to be capable of these feats and more. If Aura can protect a weapon/ armor passively, why can't it be expanded to be shared with another person? Heck, Pyrrha shared her own Aura to unlock Jaune's, so let Jaune share his own. Yes, the wiki explains he is sharing his Aura through Aura Amp, but it also says he boosts his own Aura with his Semblance. Aura -> Semblance -> Aura -> Semblance... Simple conservation of energy debunks this. Conclusion: Jaune doesn't have a Semblance!!!! Related note: Please CRWBY, expand upon Aura some more. It has the potential to be something great, better than a "Forcefield" and Semblance fuel. Let characters use Aura Slashes and Aura Pulses, let them share their Aura to help teammates recover in a fight. Don't let Shion be the only Nightmare Hunter in Remnant, create a profession of characters that use their Aura in the same capacity. Yes, Shion's Semblance helps them in Ice Queendom, but that's what makes them a cut above the other Nightmare Hunters, not the only one. Also expand on Shion's string Glyph, saying that it is the natural path Aura follows or the like. Aura is shown to control projectiles/ string, so give Nora back her Rocket Heart and Mercury his Bullet-nado. And since you love Bumblebee so much, let someone teach them how to "merge their Auras" and give them a kid, no adoption or Donor (probably Sun) required. So much potential and the perfect person on the cast to showcase what Aura can really do. Don't give Jaune a Semblance, let him show people what power they already possess. I have a theory. Jacques has secretly helped the White Fang. Before Blake revealed her Faunus heritage, Weiss mentioned that she lost friends and family to the White Fang. If Willow had siblings, they would have a better claim to the SDC as Jacques married into the Schnees. So he leaked where they are and what guards they have to the White Fang and they got the drop on them. This allows Jacques to takeover the SDC with no one to stop him and the White Fang's reign of terror gives Jacques a way to use fear to make more oppressive Faunus labor laws. Sienna wouldn't know about it as Jacques could leak the information anonymously. Edit: I rewatch the Adam short and it showed the White Fang leaving a SDC facility without any Dust so that could've been a assassination job and they were escaping after doing it.

Having Salem ascend and thereby resolving the plot has one advantage: it requires the *least* time. RT is not... financially healthy. Even if RWBY gets a V10, there's every chance that this would be the absolute *last* volume of RWBY. If the creators realize that, then it would be good if they could wrap the plot up somehow. Find a way to yank Salem into the Ever After and have her ascend, and then the story's over. Oscar/Ozpin could handle that while Team RWBY and Cinder have some kind of final battle to tie things up, and that's it. This would be the most efficient way of tying everything up in one season.

Tyrian: To be honest, I think Jaune is kind of interesting. FNDM: But why, though

I've had a theory since Djin was first used that Salem can actually be killed or at least defeated in a permanent or semi permanent way. The reasons why I still believe this are: 1: When Ozcar/Ozma asked Djin if Salem could be defeated he was alone so the "YOU can't" could be interpreted as Ozma can't since the You in English can be singular or plural. 2: When Djin said "you can't" referring to beating Salem she was actually retelling Ozmas story in the past, not telling the future. 3: If Salem is unbeatable why is she so scare about silver eyed people to the point of hunting them to near extinction and breaking their spirits? So my theory is that even if she can't be killed by silver eyed people, she can be petrified like the giant dragon from the fall of Beacon defeating her, and the reason why Ozma can't defeat her is either because of their shared history or because he can't reincarnate into a silver eyed person.

In some AU where rwby is rewritten and the idea of maidens goes through some changes, it would be cool to see not just one maiden being Jaune's sister, but also that the reason Jaune comes from a "long line of heroes" (said somewhere in early season 1) is because one of the maidens powers have been kept in his family and passed down through the generations. This would put greater emphasis on why Jaune feels he has a legacy to live up to, and would justify his unnaturally high aura output.

Another thing about one of Jaune's sisters being a Maiden could explain why Ozpin let him in despite his lack of ability

Here's my own theory I came up with a few years ago. Cinder is now immortal. Jinn actually said the fountain of light gave Salem her immortality. Though it could hyperbole. But Cinder survived what should have killed her. More than once. Her Shadow Hand Grimm arm even regenerated. The idea is the domain of light was in Mistral. The location of the continent shaped like the god of light. Destroyed from the falling pieces of the moon. The water at the bottom of the vault is what remains of it.

I‘m adding something to the Salem Ascend theory: Could a Jabberwalker kill Salem? Everything eaten by that will be wiped out of existence, maybe Salem too? This is the world where the gods came from at last

Theory that I had but was instantly shattered was that the everafter existed so the girls could learn "Magic" something more than semblances and the maiden's basic elemental stuff. Like this land still had magic and powers that just being IN the everafter would rub off on them. That way they could fight salem and her serious but basic elemental magic with something more wacky and emotion driven. But instead it was just character development, which i'm okay with I guess. But they even got rid of the one magical character with powers that WANTED to come back to remnant.

The Old theory that Raven killed Summer is looking like it might be true. Only difference is that Summer may have asked her to rather than end up like the hound.

Less of a theory but more of a head canon of the power system, but Winter and Weiss should be abusing their summon conditions. First on the rare and mega sized Grimm, 100% if I were Weiss during the Kaiju grim fight I would've ran in and gotten the final 1 hp slash on it, because then I can summon it. Same thing with the Armor Gigas setting a precedent for mashing a bunch of possession grim into inanimate objects. If she can summon the entire suit of armor, she can summon a Atlesian Paladin after shoving 20 possession grim in it. That's just me

Headcanon idea: the original springs maiden was one of the arc sisters, who ran away and caught by Raven. I’d like to think that was an idea till they changed their mind and wrote themselves to make Raven the Spring Maiden, not acknowledging who’s the original maiden.

Ok this is one of my crazy theories that I just came up with so hear me out……. What of Summer ascended? Now we still don’t know what happened to Summer so what if she went to the ever after and died then she chose to ascend. But now that I’m really thinking it through it really doesn’t explain Summers grave in Patch but it does explained why her weapon who be there so it’s somewhat possible. Plus if Summer chose to ascend then that means she could be with her family again. But then again if you ascend we have the memory loss thing but also maybe u can chose to keep your memories, but that’s only if u don’t chose to ascend? I don’t know ascending is very confusing and I do t know why the CRWBY didn’t simply it or something. But I think this is still kinda sort of possible but I don’t think it’s really gonna happen though. It’s still good for au though so there’s that.

14:44 I get coming up with possible solutions on how to stop her me personally I’d prefer it if Cinder just absorbed her power either curing Salem or assimilating her and cinder can be the final boss while taking care of Salem at the same time. I get no one likes cinder but my rebuttal is that she’s been an infinitely more active antagonist with the distinction that you can actually punch this one until she’s down.

I predict that there's going to be some big reveal about Salem and Ozma's daughters that ends up being part of what causes Salem to have a change of heart. Either one or more of them survived that tragic night and Salem has descendants on Remnant she doesn't know about, or her daughters have been reborn as other characters on Remnant. She will go to the tree, and the heroes will end up getting the relics back. Ruby may even guide Salem to the tree and be found by Somewhat. I think Cinder will be dead by the time all of this happens.

I thought maybe they would trap Salem in the everafter somehow, but idk. The cat is still alive so maybe he can do something. But this seems rather weak. It just feels like CRWBY is gonna make a happy ever after ending for Ozma and Salem, to which your theory of ascending Oscar and Ozma could stand.

Yeah Critter's right the Salem Ascends theory is a lot of legwork that; while I do like the theory, I don't think will ever happen, but man do I feel like an idiot for not thinking about putting Ozpin and Oscar in there.

I do think tyrian saying you do interest me laughing a bit and then saying no to jaune was just a jab on how weak he was

14:30 not a theory because I know the writers won’t do it, but I think it’s a fun idea. I always imagined that the fairy tales people were based off of could directly connect to the ever after. If you were to alter the story in the ever after, you could possibly alter the real person, giving team RWBY a way to kill Salem.

My theory for Salem is that Ozpin, and by extension the entire rwby cast, are misinterpreting what Djin said about her. When Ozpin asks how do **I** stop Salem Djin's exact words are "You can't." I interpreted this as Ozpin SPECIFICALLY can't do it, so it has to be somebody else. The cast are all getting up in arms about Salem being unstopable, when in reality any one of them can do it so long as it isn't Ozpin.

I rather like the idea that Salem and Oz’s daughters inherited a hybrid immortality, having their mothers unkillability, where they can live being torn apart (a la Cinder) but not regenerate and their fathers reincarnation but not his body take over.

I also thought Emerald would become the next maiden after volume 5 because Cinder is such a boring character, sadly I've accepted that Cinder is not allowed to die and I hate it. Also regarding Salem we all know the rules of Shonen writing dictate that the main villain is defeated with the power of teamwork and love and all that jazz

My current theory is that Tyrion found Jaune interesting due to their apposing semblances, since Tryion can disrupt aura and Jaune can boost them, I have no idea how Tryion is able to tell that, but it could be similar to Ren's awakening. I do not trust CRWBY to have thought that far ahead though

Good video, I really enjoyed it. My favorites definitely had to be Winter dies her hair and your Oscar ascension theory. Honestly one theory I'm surprised didn't make it is the Fria is Nora's grandmother theory that was so popular in Volume 7. I personally will throw out two theories. 1. This is an old one that I used to have and I don't know if it was popular or anything. But I remember back after Qrow told his creation story, I thought for sure that Salem and Ozma were the brother gods but inhabiting human bodies for some reason. I thought that rhe God of Creation, believing in the process of life and death, shared bodies with the hosts to allow them to be chosen/live their lives. But the God of Darkness was not into that and just kept the same woman tortured and alive for thousands upon thousands of years and that's how the two have been having this war. 2. The show will end with Salem gathering the relics and the Gods showing up. Seeing that humanity is divided, they follow up on their promise to wipe it out and do so. But the Tree is the one that intervenes and stops the gods from destroying humanity. I call it Tree Ex Machima. It's something I don't exactly like but expect to happen.

I think tyrian is blind but might be tuning his ears to metallic sounds. It does seem to be the case when he does fight.

Explaining the massacre: He's a psycho murderer who only cares about Salem and her orders so ke just swung randomly since careless killing won't bother him a milometer large explosive movements in a crowded room with only a handful of people with weapons or combat experience and them caring about bystanders and so can't move and attack as freely in a crowded space with bystanders it will be a harvest for him. Explaining the slow walk He might have had a mild concussion from an aura infused punch to the face twice conducted through his rings and wanting to be more careful about going into close quarters with him again until he had a similar experience to Inosake from Demon Slayer in that thinking things through isn't his style snapped back by the audible noise from Qrow's rings and weapon. And we've seen how good Qrow is is aura manipulation particularly in offensively skills like the Aura Arc and while Aura helps recover damage quickly it's not always automatic especially when someone doesn't place training into that and Tyrian seems to enjoy pain on both sides of the blade so he likely wouldn't place much training in defense so Qrow might get through enough to give him a concussion without aura but with a little aura defenses making it mild and I've been in a few fights even none concussive head hits still works for stunning and hesitation even briefly.

The thing about the Salem ascending theory is that the brothers' curse to her was "as long as this world turns, you shall walk it's face". So basically, as long as time goes on in Remnant, she can't die nor LEAVE it at all, so she couldn't go to the ever after, drink the tea and ascend somehow. Only if by some miracle someone grabbed a bit of the tree tea and brought it to Remnant for Salem to drink. But...RWBY and Jaune just got out and they Lost their opportunity for it

Tyran, Grim People and Salem are my favorites. As once i read, the characters with disabilities are complicated to work with, but at the same time it is fun, it could reach really high, and if it is given to a villain is even more interesting. Grim People... Man, why did RT never work with this? It's a cliche, but the cliches exist because are an idea that, despite being overuse, is effective and doesn't mean it always is terrible. And even if Salem could be "killed" by the Ascend, how are the RWBY team going to make her fall in the Ever After? And, if we want to dig more in the rabbig hole, What if does Salem know about the Ever After? She is inmortal.

Okay, tying in with the Winter dyes her hair theory, if this was true, this could make her look more like Cinder, albeit the different eye color. Why i mention this is because I've seen theories before of people believing Cinder could be the bastard daughter of Jacques.

I don't think neither Salem or Ozpin can ascend. The curious cat, who was a creation from the two brothers, said he can't ascend, so according to RWBY, any creation from two brothers can't ascend. Salem and Ozpin got their gifts from the two brothers, so I have my doubts they are able to ascend.

i find it so weird that some people make their maiden eye flames different colour than the eyes but the show has proved it over and over that the flames match the eyes, pennys green flames and ravens red flames match their eyes

10:15 - when I saw that for the first time, I never believe she died right then and there. Cinder was frozen and she fell down this dark pit. Did not hear a crash, thud, or even a splash. In the words of Dexter Grif: _”I’ll tell you what, you produce a corpse and then I’ll believe you when you tell me she’s dead.”_

Crazy theory here but what if all this craziness on reminant was intentional by the younger brother diety of distruction. What if the actual target here isnt Salem but her adversaries aka team RWBY. Its said hunans were made for both creation and distruction, what if the goal was to errod away all hope and have humans choose the brother of distruction instead of creation. Already two headmasters failed to do the right thing when called upon, and without the older bothers prensence to keep the balance in check it seams like on their eventual return the younger brother would have succeeded for a place of his own, as long as salem can do enough damage to make her adversaries lose hope on the brothers return. It would be intresting to see the dieties having plans within plans. Not to mention they have certainly fought before. I cant imagine the younger brother being all too pleased of continuing to follow his older brother whilst always in his shadow.

On the Ozpin's Daughters theory: I think the biggest flaw here is that while Ozpin isn't a wholly reliable narrator, his description of his power having declined as a result of giving large portions of it to the Maidens definitely seems consistent with what we've been shown of his abilities. He was this remarkable warrior in the age of Light and Darkness, and in his first reincarnation was able to fight evenly with Salem and seemingly only ultimately succumbed due to her regeneration. With that kind of power at his disposal, a fight like the one at Haven should've come grinding to a halt the moment that Ozpin took control of Oscar's body since both of the Maidens were at the vault. If the Maidens inherited their power from his daughters rather than being portions of his own that have left him severely weakened, absolutely no one left on the battlefield should've been able to compete with Ozpin's power, and presumably ending it quickly would've been far less stressful on Oscar's body than dragging it out in a melee battle with Hazel that also left the rest of his allies at risk. Also, from what I recall (though I admit it's been a minute), only one of his daughters was shown developing magical abilities before they were killed relatively soon afterwards in the battle between their parents. On the Salem Ascension one: Honestly, I'm not sure Salem would be that hard to convince without even needing violence. Her whole gimmick seems to be that she's wanted to die for ages, and summoning the Brothers is basically her trying to wipe out humanity for technically undefined purposes out of spite (or possibly the hope that maybe they'll finally end her immortality if they decide humanity's second chance was a failure). So the opportunity to encounter an entity that could very possibly just shrug its shoulders and handwave away her immortality so she could just die might be a tempting offer. The biggest hurdle would likely just be convincing Salem that it was legit and not some kind of attempt to trap her in the abyss. Even then, I expect Salem would eventually conclude that if Team RWBY could escape then she - as an immortal sorceress with vastly superior power - would be able to do the same.

Honestly I’ve always kinda thought there’s a SLIGHT (emphasis on slight) possibility of Coco being the summer maiden when we get to vacuo. Mostly just because she always wears those glasses which could theoretically hide whenever she’s using her maiden powers as the eyes are a dead giveaway of who’s the maiden. It would also make a cool mystery of “someone is clearly the summer maiden here but we have no idea who it is and we have to find out soon before Salem figures out herself”. (Plus I just wanna see coco again outside of supplementary material lol)

From the way Tyrian said it, and looked at Juane I assumed it was because Tyrian was ghey. Primarily because it was an offhand remark and had no real context. I can see why theories regarding his sisters would abound, but something like that would be completely out of the blue... especially with little to no backstory on Tyrian himself.

My old point of annoyance was them not taking the leaves with them out of Not-Wonderland. How the burning of the leaves works is that you must work out your issues or be stuck in it... Unless something blows it away or removes the person from being in it. Salem is immortal until the planet is gone or she works out her issues. That was literally the item needed to solve that issue and since they are not affected by the mist due to plot... Claiming to have worked out their issues... You could literally hold Salem in the mist as she struggles with facing her issues. They had a literal in cannon method for beating her and ignored it! That is why people call it the filler arc!

Tbh I’d love to see more Glenda and Cindy fights. It be so interesting to see how they would interact and fight more

As I watched the ozpin backstory episode, I assumed he had just made up the other story to keep his real life more private. It WAS his past life where he gave 4 sisters powers, he just left out that it was by having kids that he gave them magic powers. I think this is less of a theory and more like unclear lore that could be interpreted in 2 completely different ways 😅

My theory since volume 7 with revealing Salem to the world was Salem would ironically become the thing that unites the people and saves them from the brother’s judgment when/if she does get all of the relics to summon them. She is banking on the humans failing thus the brothers ending everything (also herself in theory). I like the piece of Oscar and Ozma being separated which could be a moment before the brothers being summoned. Salem could be shook for a moment seeing the true Ozma being back and Ozma, being a flawed character, wanting Salem to ascend so they can go back to simply living together until death (callback to the warning of him not finding comfort where he wants to) where a big moment can be Ozma saying “Let. Us. Rest.” (Calling back to the god of light telling Salem to “let him rest” when Ozma originally died)with Salem again showing her petty and selfish side by simply saying “no” like how she whispered to herself before going to the god of darkness and killing him.

I had a full blown back and forth with some loon on Twitter over the Headcannon of Tyrian being blind, they assumed it was fact and others are just too dumb to see it.

Maybe it's too simple, but I honestly think Winter's eyebrows are black because Jacques' hair was black, and her hair is white because Willow's hair is white. Of course it doesn't make sense genetically, but many things in RWBY don't. Maybe she got half and half just because she was their first child.

Oh I almost forgot. Oz carried the souls of his dead daughters with him and infused them into the maidens because they asked him to. They pooled all four's spellcasting power then divided it by their elemental essences. But in this state his daughters slumber. If you break the magic of the spring maidens something terrible will happen so even Salem doesnt dare touch the magic. Also she might have a shred of humanity in her.

I used to have this weird theory that Raven was the first to know of Summer's death. It's more of a baseless headcanon than anything, but the line of thought was that the connection that Raven's semblance grants her when she forms a bond with someone not only allows her to create portals, but also grants her additional powers like being able to sense people's state of being to a degree, and sense impending danger, keeping up with the theme of omens. I think that when Summer died, her bond with her was severed and she knew something bad happened immediately. I have no proof for this, just headcanon. Whenever Yang was close to dying, she was always there to intercept the final blow of her attacker. I also always found it convenient that Raven only ever appeared in the first 3 volumes when Yang was either in a sketchy situation or in some sort of danger. You can say that Raven was just always watching Yang in her own protective way, but I like to think there were times where Raven was doing her own thing and just had some form of pseudo precognition telling her that a loved one was in danger, and she would make it a priority to ensure Yang's safety whenever it kicked in. Yeah, I know there's some holes in it, but like I said, it was just a weird headcanon/theory.
