'Considers" Princes the original hot chicken? It IS the original. No real native would say that. You must been born after 2000. considers? LOL man thats offensive
So close ... but you missed my favorite spots. Those mountains looming up above the Alvord Desert. That is Steens Mountain. Do a little research on that and Hart Mountain hot springs to the east.
Dude, you really need to learn how to pronounce names properly, accordingto the native area and people. I am a native Eastern Oregonian (born and raised here), and I'm happy to hear how much you appreciate and enjoy Eastern Oregon. But please try to learn correct pronunciation of people and places. Wallowa, is pronounced "wuh - Lou - (like allow) whu: wuh-low-whu Lake or Mountains. Alvord Desert/Hot Springs, is pronounced "Al-void", hold the "r".
Joseph, Oregon, & although I have not been there in 16 years seems an ideal retirement locale for many of my needs. Around 1,200 in population & so I understand a community with some artistic atmosphere. Wallowa Lake & the surrounding mountains are unique even for Oregon nature. The other memorable locale for me in eastern Oregon remains Steens mountain & I have commented on that area extensively elsewhere on You Tube.
Want to thank you for this video. I came to know of Joseph OR through your video . Just came back from a trip to Joseph. This place really should be as famous as Crater lake. I have lived in OR for 20 years and had not heard of it before your video. Thanks
@andrewlindseylifestyle in Vegas a majority of the hotels charge resort or hotel fees even if they just have a pool and those pools are closed they also do it for casinos, spas, etc. It's just a marketing tactic
My grandfather built the BarCBar Ranch between Baker City and Sumptner. My family visited my uncle's ranch at Whitney years ago. Deep family roots in the area. Love Baker City❤
About the flexibility of the case, that's the feature of polycarb. It is designed to absorb blows by flexing. For the rock hard cases like ABS, they can take it, but will no direction for the impact energy to go, it will stress the case and will eventually break. Some people think this is cheap construction because of the flex when really it's the opposite.
I'm surprised that you Didn't include the opry mills mall on this list? Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention the General Jackson that was a fun boat ride, and so was the boat ride inside the Opera land hotel too.
I'm a 70 year old native Oregonian. I love the entire state. At least I used to. That was before the easterners decided they hated anyone from Western Oregon. I no longer feel safe in a part of the state my forefathers settled in. Such a shame.
There are great suggestions, but there is so much more to see in Eastern Oregon. Driving from the Columbia River along the John Day River to the Town of John Day and then to Prairie City then up over Dixie Mountain and down in to Vale Oregon. You will see just about every to of geographic and geologic features. The Steens Mountains are a must see. Owyhee canyon and River
Nashville is my hometown born and raised! I unfortunately live in Raleigh now and it’s tiny. People in Raleigh thought Nashville was smaller than them until they visited Nashville and they found out how huge Nashville is.
Nobody move to Tennessee. Nobody move anywhere! STAY WHERE YOU ARE DAMNIT! if you lived in California in the past 11 years. GO BACK DIRECTLY, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT 200
If you want a peek into the past, be sure to book a stay at the Geiser Grand hotel in Baker City, OR. It's also just a short drive to Sumpter. A stay at the Geiser Grand is an experience that the upper class took as normal living. Lots of history in the town as well as an Oregon Trail interpretive Center just outside of town.
Baker city is where we stayed! Loved that town. The inland cafe is one of the best restaurants ever. I couldn’t get enough of their huckleberry cream pie 😋 Thank you for the tip! I’ll keep it in mind for my next visit
@@andrewlindseylifestyle We live in Caldwell ID. and travel through there a couple times a year. Up to now, we have gone to the truck stop cafe off the freeway but will try the Inland Cafe. We actually went right by it coming into town from Haines. There is another period correct hotel in Union. We've stayed there a couple of times. Much less modernization but nice to see the craftmanship of trades people of the day.
@@andrewlindseylifestyle We go to the Pendleton OR and Walla Walla, WA areas on golfing trips and just came back to Idaho the week before last. We had the entire day to drive home from Pendleton and I had planned to get to La Grande and then take a side trip up and around through Joseph and Wallowa lake area and then back into Baker City but chickened out at the last minute due to the looks of the winding road on the map. But it's on our list to do. Thanks for video.
@@sawtooth4615 Joseph is an easy drive! A beautiful drive too. It’s not dangerous or anything. Joseph is my favorite place we went so definitely don’t miss it next time!
