About this video: In this video I go over the 6 Most Beautiful Places In Eastern Oregon. This is a very special video to me because this was a very special trip for me and my Uncle that took a lot of planning and preparation, and it was worth every bit of it. I went to some of the most beautiful places in Eastern Oregon like Hell’s Canyon, Joseph Oregon, and many more. You may have never been to Oregon before, but it is in fact one of the most beautiful states in the US. These are the 6 Most Beautiful Places in Oregon that you need to see

My grandfather built the BarCBar Ranch between Baker City and Sumptner. My family visited my uncle's ranch at Whitney years ago. Deep family roots in the area. Love Baker City❤

Joseph, Oregon, & although I have not been there in 16 years seems an ideal retirement locale for many of my needs. Around 1,200 in population & so I understand a community with some artistic atmosphere. Wallowa Lake & the surrounding mountains are unique even for Oregon nature. The other memorable locale for me in eastern Oregon remains Steens mountain & I have commented on that area extensively elsewhere on You Tube.

So close ... but you missed my favorite spots. Those mountains looming up above the Alvord Desert. That is Steens Mountain. Do a little research on that and Hart Mountain hot springs to the east.

If you want a peek into the past, be sure to book a stay at the Geiser Grand hotel in Baker City, OR. It's also just a short drive to Sumpter. A stay at the Geiser Grand is an experience that the upper class took as normal living. Lots of history in the town as well as an Oregon Trail interpretive Center just outside of town.

Baker city is where we stayed! Loved that town. The inland cafe is one of the best restaurants ever. I couldn’t get enough of their huckleberry cream pie 😋 Thank you for the tip! I’ll keep it in mind for my next visit

@@andrewlindseylifestyle We live in Caldwell ID. and travel through there a couple times a year. Up to now, we have gone to the truck stop cafe off the freeway but will try the Inland Cafe. We actually went right by it coming into town from Haines. There is another period correct hotel in Union. We've stayed there a couple of times. Much less modernization but nice to see the craftmanship of trades people of the day.

@@andrewlindseylifestyle We go to the Pendleton OR and Walla Walla, WA areas on golfing trips and just came back to Idaho the week before last. We had the entire day to drive home from Pendleton and I had planned to get to La Grande and then take a side trip up and around through Joseph and Wallowa lake area and then back into Baker City but chickened out at the last minute due to the looks of the winding road on the map. But it's on our list to do. Thanks for video.

I'm a 70 year old native Oregonian. I love the entire state. At least I used to. That was before the easterners decided they hated anyone from Western Oregon. I no longer feel safe in a part of the state my forefathers settled in. Such a shame.

There are great suggestions, but there is so much more to see in Eastern Oregon. Driving from the Columbia River along the John Day River to the Town of John Day and then to Prairie City then up over Dixie Mountain and down in to Vale Oregon. You will see just about every to of geographic and geologic features. The Steens Mountains are a must see. Owyhee canyon and River

Dude, you really need to learn how to pronounce names properly, accordingto the native area and people. I am a native Eastern Oregonian (born and raised here), and I'm happy to hear how much you appreciate and enjoy Eastern Oregon. But please try to learn correct pronunciation of people and places. Wallowa, is pronounced "wuh - Lou - (like allow) whu: wuh-low-whu Lake or Mountains. Alvord Desert/Hot Springs, is pronounced "Al-void", hold the "r".
