There are free shuttle busses from Hanover to the next towns, Lebanon and West Lebanon, where you could have stayed. W. Lebanon has shopping malls. FYI.

Greetings Recon, Seems that this video is about 3 weeks old from the time that it was shot. Your next video should show how the weather has gotten much cooler and dryer. Maybe you will be able to stay at Irish hotel in Rutland pass. Enjoy the black Vermont mud southbound. There is a Stop and Shop once you come out on Rt 2 in MA for resupply. Hope that you start to make 14-18 mile days this fall. Old School

Thank you for your comment. Yes there is a significant delay getting the videos out. I have to get stable Wi-Fi and upload to Google Drive. And then my son has to download edit and post. Currently in New York now.

Cheers Recon, Don’t get down on the mileage that you will need to do. The really hard stuff is behind you. The weather has been dryer late August/September. There will be sections where you will pick up big miles CT, flat section crossing Rt 81. Stay healthy and focused on day to day goals.

Congratulations Recon, Yes this is the hard part of the AT. You should cruise into Hanover. Coming down Kinsman in the rain could not have been much fun. However, I’d much rather go SB up Beaver Brook trail, rather than down. Killington will be the last 4000 footer that you will have to do until Apple Orchard Mtn in VA. Hopefully the weather will dry out and get cooler going south. And you should be doing more miles per day. Best of luck.

Greetings Recon. We were going northbound from Monson and ran into Pancake and Syrup at Antlers campsite on 6/16. We thought that she was carrying a cat in her carrier at the time. Later a driver who was giving us a ride out of Baxter told us it wasn't a cat, but a pet pigeon. Knowing the White Cap climb and the difficult river fordings before getting to Monson, I was surprised that she had made it this far when I saw her in this video.
