I followed your steps but still failed to achieve the zooming in and zooming out motion. When I applied Key frames, all my drawings were misaligned and I had to start from the beginning . I tried following your steps on a set of 3 frames...as I still wanted to show some movement while zooming in... instead of achieving the effect , frames got corrupted.... I am honestly finding clipstudio and steps required to achieve something so simple as complicated
Good morning! I just stumbled on your video last night and watched it just before bed and THANK YOU MY GOOD SAMARITAN I have been struggling and anguished over the 2D camera feature and your tutorial and animation actually helped me figure it out 😭 I now have a small video of a man catching a pineapple lol, please continue doing what your doing! <3
The effect is stronger if you mix more vibrant colors. Try R:0 G:0 B:255 and R:255 G:255 B:0 … “Standard” vs “Perceptual” difference is night and day!!
O my goodness, brother,I can't express in words how grateful I am to you, I played with this all day and you saved me, thank you, thank you and thank you again
Yes, you can put in the animation folder of only the zoom in scene to the camera folder. This is because the Camera only affects the animation folder within its Camera Folder.
I don't know the version of Clip Studio paint you are using. But in Version 2.3.0. 1. After selecting the frame you want to reset to default with object tool. 2. Go to the “Tool Property: Object” and check the green diamond on the Transform box, then it will reset. It is 😁 similar to deleting the keyframe from the Timeline whichever works faster for you. Go for it!
@davidokon thanks for all your help so far! This one is a bit unrelated: but can you tell me how to open the export settings menu for PNGs? When I click png export, it immediately sends me to the select file location window.
You are welcome Here are the steps to export in PNGs: 1. Go to -file menu 2. Select -Export (Single Layer) 3. Select - .png (PNG) 4. Then click save 5. The PNG export settings window will pop up... Then you select OK 6. Then you are done
I keyframed every movement of the 2D camera following each movement of the character in the timeline. I also check the “Render 2D Camera” from the Animation menu.

The foreground was drawn in the same layer with the character in the Animation folder. The only one painted on a normal layer (not Animation folder) was the background that has the landscape.
Great vid, but I have a question, how do you disable those squares that appear after you move the camera? they're kind of distracting wehn you're not working on the folder with the camera
Thank you. 1. Open Animation menu 2. Uncheck any of the following in the menu options, to solve it a. Show 2D Camera frames b. Show camera path c. Show all field guides
You mean the 2D camera is not working or moving, right? If the 2d camera is not working. Causes: 1. “Render 2D Camera” is not turned on. To turn it on- Go to Animation menu>Playback settings>Render 2D camera 2. The image or animation folder is not placed inside the camera folder. To do that click and drag the image into the Camera Folder If it is not solved. You can send me the CSP file via my email to see what is wrong edikanart@gmail.com
@@Toopity706 also try going in the operator tabs the cube with the arrow icon on the left hub menue and its one of the options you can choose from to move the camera.
@@davidokon np! Help out with stuff I know if I see someone who needs help! May not know all the terms, etc but can at least explain, or tell how to get to it.
Wow nice concept ..but try out changing the character's body forms and position along side with the colour and strokes.. it will make it more interesting...so for now u hav 2&1/2..🌟 from me..Cheers
I will take you through how I add shadow and light with texture. Gyula Pozsgay brushes were used for the main portrait, especially the (Universal Paintbrush) and (Textured Blender) for blending the colours. Link to Gyula Pozsgay brushes. You will find it at the bottom of the page. pozsgay.hu/tartalmak/clip_studio_paint I also used other default brushes like (Paint and apply) to apply shadow and light.
Clip Studio Paint Timelapse Portrait. This is a timelapse portrait from start to finish of a digital portrait. The reference photo of the girl was gotten by AI technology from “This People does not exist.” I also used multi references to add flowers add light and shadow to the portrait. I’ve been having a weird issue with my camera folder. I’m trying to make a short animated scene where the camera is slowly panning and then reveals the character at the last second. But for some reason, when I put key frames in the camera folder, it moves the actual drawing instead, almost like I assigned the key frames to the lineart layer itself instead of the actual camera. Any tips or suggestions to help?
Hope you dragged the "Animation Folder", where the line art is, into the "2D Camera folder?" If that is not done. The 2D camera will not work. I can see the challenge you are having here. You accidentally keyframed the "Animation Folder layer or line art layer" instead of the 2D Camera Folder. First of all, delete all the keyframes. To delete the keyframes: 1. Hold shift in your keyboard and select all the keyframes you want to delete. Then go to the timeline menu bar and select delete keyframe. 2. Also, it seems you might have selected "enabled keyframes on this layer" please turn it off from the timeline bar. 3. Now, you can drag the Animation folder into the 2D camera folder. Then click on add keyframe, select maybe 80 in the timeline, and adjust the camera on the character. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any assistance.
@@davidokon I’m using CSP on an iPad so it’s slightly different. I also have the animation folder in the 2D camera folder. I’ve animated camera movements on CSP before so I don’t know why this is happening 😭 I couldn’t find the “enable key frames on this layer” option but I’m assuming that’s what’s causing the issue so I’ll try that out.
