My great grandfather wanted to be a fighter pilot in the war, though they had more pilots than planes, so he became a radio officer on a B24, he survived the war, not sure if he ever saw the luftwaffe though.

My grandfather fought in world war 2, he fought in Europe, didn’t come in on dday but days after, got wounded and carried shrapnel from his injuries until the day he died in 2020
It’s June 6 2024 exactly 80 years after the invasion my generation doesn’t even know or put thought into how much those men sacrificed for them it’s not just gen z though it’s everyone it’s sad what are country is going to those men wouldn’t have fought if they knew 2024 was going to be like this we all need to change not just for them but for the future of the United States of America.
Today marks the 80th anniversary. Some gave all, all gave some, and all will be missed. Thank you for the sacrifices you made so the world would not have live in the shadow of evil. Rest in Peace soldiers of Overlord.
I woke up exactly 80 years on at 6:30am for Woody.EXE to lead the tributes that day. He did incredibly well as me and Florya from Come and See recreated D-Day as we were currently fighting in a war with my other Woody I’ve owned for 16 years. The 80th Anniversary of D-Day’s invasion recreation triggered Floyra’s meltdown because he thought Woody was back but luckily I managed to calm him down before the anniversary turned awful

I was watching the 80th Anniversary of D-DAY JUNE 6, and I saw the very young taking part in many remembrances, which goes to show they're not forgetting, & that brought a tear to my eyes

I'm retired, but WWII, Korea and Vietman do not feel so long ago. My Father in Law, my Mother in Law, my Uncle, my wife's Uncles all fought or served in WWII, then 3 of my brothers, and 2 of my brothers in law served in Vietnam or National Guard. I was in my 3rd year of AFROTC in college to become a pilot when the Vietnam War was stopped. There's been 9/11 and two Gulf Wars plus Afganistan. We continuingly need This Prayer to help us face down the maryid of evil forces wanting to destroy our Nation and people. More people need to wake up!
