My favourites from Disney Spring would include all the Star Wars & Marvel Pennies My Daughters favourite place in D S is Pandora (probably the place I had the most palpitations due to the cost of some of the charms they sold in there 😂) Great stuff DCT 👍🏻
I wonder if they have plans to add more Star Wars penny machines at Galaxy Edge in addition to the ones at Launch Bay 🤔 My favourites are the Star Wars and Indiana Jones’s pennies and I know my Daughters would be the Frozen designs 😊 Great stuff DCT 👍🏻

Just wanted to leave a quick update on the 8-design penny machine. It has been moved since this video release, and is now located inside the Tiana's Bayou General Store which is the gift shop you exit through after the ride. In the old location (outside the restrooms) is now a new 4-design penny machine. Keep on Pressing!!
Cool and I can’t wait until they make the Cars Land and Villains Land in Magic Kingdom. After they a year when they make that park, I think they’ll make new press penny machines.
Kind of a nerd thing. People used to collect coins way back in the 1950s. I never had the will power to save coins when I was a kid because the coin could have bought something useful like a soda and candy bar. 😂
Unfortunately I'm still trying to acquire one of those. I do check the artist's website periodically to see if any new ones are available but they seem to be popular and go quickly. Hopefully one day I can snag one for my collection!
hi David....actually I'm wanting to know if you know of a way to highlight the details on the coins...sometimes they are hard to see all bright and shiny!
That's a fantastic question. I've checked with a few other collectors and they mentioned a few methods that are all fairly similar. Basically they use a water based paint, coat the entire design and then immediately wipe it off. The idea is that the paint should stick / stay along the edges of the design as you wipe away the pain from the "top" of the coin and design. It's almost like edge highlighting. Now I will admit this is not a method I have actually tried so if you do attempt it I would probably recommend using a test coin or duplicate coin just to test it out and get the process correct. If you are successful please let me know I'd love to hear all about it and it may be something I need to create a video about in the future.
I like videos of Rollercoaster 🎢 rides to get a sense or feel of the ride. That’s one mighty big Penguin 🐧 in the gift shop, it would prove tricky trying to get it home yourself, I’m guessing they would be happy to ship it for you though. I enjoyed the coin show. I was finally able to finish my Buffalo nickel collection. As for coin shows in general, my biggest pet peeve is when dealers don't have prices on their coins. I don't want to have to ask, "How much is that? How much is that one? How much is that?"
That's fantastic I'm happy to hear you were able to finish off that collection. I'm sure that was quite a project to complete. I do agree with you about the absent prices. There were a few I had inquired about and the people working the table were all conversing with each other before coming back with the price which is definitely an inconvenience.
It was July 11-13th, 2024 in Orlando. The next FUN coin show will be their Winter edition January 9-12th, 2025 also in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center.
Last time i went was 10 years ago and I acquired the 1932 D quarter it was a lot of fun though those rolled coins are really cool thanks for sharing your experience

That's fantastic. I usually bring my daughters and they come away with plenty of items for their own little collections. Some of the clubs and vendors are really good with the kids in trying to get them interested in the hobby.
That's great. How many do you need to finish your collection? I do find that these are getting harder to find in the stores so I feel like they may be retiring soon. Fingers crossed we get a new version in the future.
Value isn’t always monetary. Collectors can collect anything they like. Whether it’s a 1804 Bust Quarter or a pressed penny, it’s all about collecting and enjoying a hobby.
You might try coming to one of the Baltimore shows--always seemed to have elongated coins for sale somewhere--been there several years--great show if you can make it.
I always kind of forget that elongated coins are a very small niche. When I visit the shows I assume I'll be able to find a whole bunch but that unfortunately it not always the case. But I was happy to find a couple and give them a good home.
I saw that this Disney 100 set is going to be retiring soon unfortunately doesn't give much time to try and find them all. I was thinking about working on the Mario set or Jurassic Park but haven't decided yet.
