In a recent issue of TECNews I spotted a Save the Date for an upcoming Online Auction. Without hesitation I signed up and shortly after participated in a fun afternoon of bidding for some very unique elongated coins. In this weeks video I show you what items were available, bring you into the auction and then show off our newly acquired items.

Thank you!! I know that once the bidding starts it can get a little out of control so I was trying to keep myself within a certain budget. It was a nice surprise to realize there were extra sets and a great opportunity to grab them.

Is there a way to create your own custom pressed penny?

Absolutely. Usually the easiest option is to connect with a designer who will help with you with the design (if needed) and they would also have an engraver they work with to create the die, and then can press your custom design on pretty much any type of coin. The type of currency and total number of coins to be pressed will change the overall cost. In most cases it would be around $200 to have a design created, die engraved and around 100 coins pressed.
