This is amazing as I've been debating whether or not to change my entire 4 strut for my 2010 HGTE. Is there anything different about the front i should know about?
My favourite favourite Ferrari colour, beautiful car, first 599 I’ve seen in that paint 🥰 Lovely car sir! One day I will add Azzuro California to my collection.
"Mr. India," I love it!!!😅 My wife and I had a chance to visit and thoroughly enjoyed. In any case, thanks for this video. I wondered about the reliability and safety of these off brand modules. I'm looking into the Lorinser suspension lowering module which lowers the vehicle, but also automatically raises the stance once the vehicle's speed exceeds 50kmh. It looks like I'll have to pay around $1,500 US, but given the not so predictable road conditions here in the northeastern United States, I'm willing to pay more for this dynamic feature I'll be certain to share the results. Thanks again for the video and link (I went with the Navitimer😅).🙏🏾
For the time I had it was not an issue. The module is not doing anything other than set new parameters on the car. The module itself is not used after the setting is made.
For some reason when I put the insert inside of the strut housing and I try to tighten the bolt down it doesn’t go in anymore and gets very tight. So tight that you can’t thread the bolt in anymore than a 1/4. The strut will then spin itself and not allow me to tighten the bolt anymore. Any idea on why this is happening?
I would have to see a picture of what you mean. You can send it through my instagram or FB messaging. Sounds like the thread in the new shock might have got cross threaded
Congrats! Love the spec, not sure if you picked wheels already but love to see a custom set of polished wheels on there with exposed bolts and hardware.
The car was designed on memories of my father who passed away. It kept reminding me and upsetting me. Now I sold it I have a little remorse . I won’t design another car with such links to family
I had a repair done to my 944 hatch last year but don't hold out much hope of it lasting. i'm inspired from your video to have a go with the 3M stuff myself, now if only i can get her ladyship to do gap spotting , for me as well!!!
Mrindia Fromuk I Was Searching For LED Suitable To W124 E500 ... BecauseI Get Annoying By The Light ErrorIn My Dashboard ... I Paid All The LED That You Suggested and They Are Great Ones ... I Give Thanks For This Video Is VERY Useful ...,,,, respect🙏🏾
Hello Sir, is it still holding up please ? I realized that the humidity I almost permenently have on my rear hatch is probably due to this very problem...
Yes it is still holding up well. I think exposing to heat and the suns UV light is what causes the problem. In addition to the fix I have installed window tint to filter UV and also a 1” vinyl strip on the outside over the glue that can bee seen through the glass
Good choice and investment bhaaji . It is gonna Atleast pay you 7-8 times with the modification’s plan you have , alongside the real driving pleasure . Congratulations 🎊👍
I've been through all this with my 944. Once I removed the struts, I can now open and close the darn thing which solves 90% of the problem. The Porsche struts were way too strong for my hatch. Went to a local glass shop and the greedy owner quoted me $1,500 to install his window plus labor. Ended up getting his shop manager to come by my house after work to straighten everything out. Charged me $100 for an hour of his time. He could tell right away that the struts were the issue. Next step is to find struts with less tension. Did someone say to use Jeep Cherokee struts? Is there a part number? thanks Mr. India!
thanks for doing this and loved all the info along the way. i was wondering what it would be like to try this and now i kno. thanks for the work yall did!!
Good stuff…and a daunting project ahead for me. I’m thinking of taking the rear hatch out and working on it out of the car, it may be easier. ….then I’ll take the rear hatch to get tinted while it’s out. I do think you are onto a winner with the 3m product, they know there stuff and formulations. Any new updates
Getting ready to do this on my S2 this winter. Question? Every other tutorial shows welding a new end cap on the old strut to add stability on rebound. Is that just not needed any longer or did you skip this step for some reason?
