So you did not have to use the remote wire/turn on wire? How does the amp know when to power on and off? I was following your install and now I'm stuck on how to get a signal to the remote wire for a kicker hideaway 8" compact sub.
From the speaker signal. It will turn on and off your amp. I believe it is a standard feature for amps. There maybe a switch though between remote wire or speaker signal. Check your manual. I am sure Kicker has that feature.
This type of levelwind is geared with the spool. They move as the spool spins both engaged and free spool. That’s why I have to remove the left side plate to disengage the levelwind from the spool. Baitcasters are designed that level wind disengages at freespool.
Why did you have to connect to both left and right speakers to receive the signal? I saw another video that connected to only one side to receive the signal.
Hi do you know how to unscrew the drag knob on the new generation pen fathom ii ld 2 speed? You have to pull the knob to adjust it. Also my free spool was very bad so I was thinking to take apart just the drag knob and not the reel handle and put oil in parts where the spool rotates, does that sound like the right thing to do?
I'm sorry, I do not. But I would bet it is also the same if the mechanism to disengage the low gear is to turn the ring over the button. if you want lubricate the spool bearing you can remove the side plates without removing the handle. nice thing about my Penn and Avet lever drag.
nice video, after I greases and oiled my reel I hear a grinding noise when I use the reel to test the drag. Did I put too much grease or not enough you think? the grinding comes from the clocker side on the left
Added depth to the sound. Definitely made my base speaker system sound better. Don’t expect that this unit will make your car vibrate that much. It only does a little when playing bass music.
Ive had several tica reels and recently was given two of these by my wife as a gift and they both were junk directly outve the box. One had a malfunctioning clicker mechanism and the other had a stripped out drag system. And like i said they were this way directly out of the box never even got to fish with them. Hi bro, Can you tellme more About the delay and how do yo solved? I have a 2022 explorer, when it is hot, the transmission has a delay when I put Reverse after the Drive. Thanks !
Same problem. Only from drive to reverse. About 3 seconds then it jerks. Dealership wanted to replace the transmission with only 3k miles. I did some research and someone did a TCM reset and it fixed the problem. So I decided to buy a Ford Scanner from amazon that has the TCM/PCM reset function and it fixed the problem.

Nice work. It's cool to see how jigging is done in different areas. We use a similar technique in the Chesapeake Bay, but our retrieve is different. This was a very informative video.
For me I drop the jig let it hit buttom then I pause after every full turn. About 5 to 10 full turns depending on the depth and where fish is marking on the fish finder. I vary the speed depending on what triggers a bite.
