Giving away all the secret tips and creating humorous theme park content for all your vacation needs!
Welcome to the channel that we started in 2023!
For years we have been visiting theme parks all across the US, packing days with multiple festivals, and attending an average of 40-50 concerts a year. We do this on a frugal budget and sprinkle in very picky splurges. After so many family and friends asked us how we find so many good deals for our adventures we decided to start our own channel. The entire purpose of this channel is to give others great info and show others the tips we’ve always used.
We laugh a lot and have so much fun while saving money. Come join along on our little creative hobby.
Volcano Bay is such an incredible waterpark! Me and my family went there a month and a half ago on Friday May 31st, 2024. We’re from Canada🇨🇦 and we’ve been to all the Disney World and Universal theme parks several times in the past when I was much younger, but Volcano Bay is our first visit and we had an amazing time!! The wave pool is awesome, there are so many unique water attractions to try out (especially the Aqua Coaster) and the food is delicious 🤤 we had their coconut chicken curry🍛 at Kohola Reef restaurant. If my family plans on another Orlando trip in the future, we would definitely love to come back here again!! It’s so much fun!! 🤩❤️🌋💦💦
@goteamadventures thank you so much we worked so hard! I think i remember scaring yall, i was in a far back corner not a whole lot of people wandered to 😅
@@xxchaotic_pupxx It was amazing! we could absolutely see all the work and love that went into the event!! We stayed much longer that night than we planned because we were having too much fun to leave early!
Yes! And during HHN they come out with an HHN design for the park cup too if you would rather get one with a limited design on it! It’s a different style of a cup, but it functions the same. So you can choose which type of cup you want!
Good question! I had to think about for a minute. The sensor on the Coke freestyle machine will not work for anything other than water if you use anything other than the park freestyle cup or a paper cup with a sensor in it that is just good for I think an hour. We do, however, sometimes bring our resort cup for water and also for filling in the lobby on our way back to the hotel since some rooms are a far walk from the lobby. Hope that helps!
@@goteamadventures thanks! But could I bring it to a quick service stand and pay the $1.49 for a refill? The like I would with a souvenir butterbeer cup or a character sipper? Just as an example we are planning a pool day in the middle of our trip. Then headed to a park for dinner and just do the new dream works land and call it a night. Do you know if it’s possible so use the resort cup and just pay for a refill? Net necessarily using the freestyle machine? Thanks again!
Goodbye Six Flags, hello WDW, UO/IoA/EU, Sea World, Busch Gardens, ME!!!!, and soooo much more! I couldn’t be more excited for my friends to get here and to watch your channel grow!!!!
You know, Six Flags just dropped a REALLY interesting ad for Fright Fest yesterday and it looks like they might be heading in an exciting direction. We are crossing our fingers because we have so many fond memories at the SF parks. Lots of room for growth here at OT but we will check out updates at OT during spooky and holiday season! And we can’t wait to visit all the parks with you and Johnny!!❤️
@@goteamadventures Six Flags OT definitely holds a very special place in my heart with tons of memories of visiting with my family when I was a kiddo…and it’s soooo much better than Six Flags Fiesta Texas!!
Man, you would be so sad to see how neglected OT has been for the past couple of years. Ever since the new CEO took over. These days Fiesta gets all the updates and has shows and festivals that are really impressive. It made us so sad!!! We have not vlogged it because it made us so sad. Another blogger nailed it in a recent blog. Money was not put into our park and prices went up without investment. We truly hope the merger brings new life into the park.
We hope you enjoy our slightly different vlog! The majority of vlogs will be focused on helpful tips and information but we thought we’d update folks with a short series about our big move! Stay tuned for part 2!
Yes! You empty them out first and we normally put the empty cup inside our bag or right in front of it horizontally. In this video the cup was inside the bag!
Great video! Definitely will try these tips. Question… if I carry a reusable water bottle, will I be able to refill water with the coke free style machine?
@@amrishajugmohan2220 Yes! That is what we do too. If you select water on it first and just put your bottle down under it and touch to pour the water it works just fine!
Oh yeah, we pass on the upper price range too for cabanas! It’s normally just us so that’s $$$$. Off season you can get a cabana for $250-$350! That’s when it’s fun to splurge for sure! A cabana after a week of HHN is awesome!
Hello, thanks for sharing the adventures. I will be heading to Volcano Bay next month (5/18) with my 7-year-old. She's not really into large rides but enjoys some of the more mild, kid-friendly rides. Would you recommend the express pass for Volcano Bay?
Hmm, good question. That’s well after spring break crowds (mid March through late April) and before summer crowds (late May through beginning of August) so I don’t *think* I’d buy it but it is a weekend day so some slides may hit capacity by like 2ish? Honestly we’ve never bought express at VB. The pools, lazy river, and fearless river are all enjoy anytime. So there’s never a need to tap into them. I like the slides and if you have EPA from staying in a universal resort or from your pass you can get some of the slides in early and have fun in the pools or rivers the rest of the day. Even if you enter the park right when it opens you can tap into a ride straight away. Just know that krakatau will hit capacity for tapping into it by around lunch. This slide may look scary but is incredibly fun. If she wants to ride that one get tapped into it before it hits capacity.
Went yesterday. I know booking ahead will save you money. It was an off day meaning not busy and the Cabanas at the cheapest was $799. Last year during peak season at 9:30am early entry they were $1000. Sorry but the cabanas are not worth it at that price. $300 like you said you paid, Ok. Above that no way unless you have a group who all chips in. Family of 4 with a $799 cabana and 4 ticket at $80 per person and can go up depending on the day and how busy it is. Looking at a $1200 day for a water park. Thats crazy.
Whoa! I did not know they got that high at spring break. I will say, we love a good upgrade but we are very frugal so it is a special treat for us. We always do the upgrades off season. We know that not everyone can travel off season because kids are in school or work schedules, but the price difference is substantial. I really am shocked that it was already priced at $800! I think I saw somewhere that you could rent them for under $200 a few years back.
@@goteamadventures yes they where under $200 it that was during “That Time”. We thought that was expensive, were we wrong. Lol. Anyway nice video and now we know to schedule one for a later date and at a better price.
You actually don’t need either one!!! Take a reusable cup (any kind) -to the free style machines to get FREE ICE AND WATER all day long. All you have to do is depress for the ice, and don’t set your cup down on the strainer. Just hover it above in one hand. With the other hand you can request water without the machine gronking on you. In the summer those machines may run out of ice by about two pm. But the water is still cold. We’ve also taken collapsible cups and thermoses and put them in our bags and filled when needed. DO NOT PAY $6 for a single plastic bottle of water! Any of the food places also usually have ice water cups out on the counters. And Starbucks will also give you water if requested for free. Just bring your own water flavor packets and you’re all set! If you do feel the need to purchase a freestyle cup, you can do so and bring it back another time and just pay the reactivation fee for the day if you want soft drinks. You can also carry around your resort plastic bottle and use a carabiner clip on your belt loop or back pack as they’ve got handles and lids. Those work as well. We don’t pay for drinks in the parks anymore. You will save yourself a good $20-$50+ doing it this way. Especially if you’ve got a large group. Last time we paid for a Starbucks, drank it, and then refilled that plastic cup all day. When you need to use a locker for rides at the resort-your cups need to be emptied (as those free ride lockers are slim and long and you need to place your cups inside laying down). Keep that in mind, cause it’s important to know for later. ❤
Hey friends! This is a bit of a brief vlog and I only had about an hour to edit or we would not have had it out this week. If you’d like to see more from the event be sure to check out our friend Sam’s vlog (@savagemister). He’s a Six Flags icon!!
Oh, wow! We did not know that! Are they keeping a bunch in the hot topic type store by Justice League, or changing that up too? I wish I liked clowns more. They went all in on clowns.
If you don’t mind me asking, what is the number of that cabana? And can you give the price and the month that you were there? We are going to the first time ever to Universal and I would like to take the kids there for the day. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. I’m with him on the ketchup. 😂
Of course! I just looked it up and it was 6C. Group 6 is a bank of 4 right by the volcano. When I called, I just asked for a volcano view. I reserved about 5 months in advance. We had the cabana in Oct so I am sure I did not need to book that far out, but I am a planner and just feel better having everything booked. It was around $350 I believe.
Man, the sun is really something there! We went to Volcano Bay in December for my birthday, and I got so taken out by the sun that I almost missed Orlando Informer. We were going to film it but I felt too taken out by the sun. We still had a great time, but I got waaaay too much sun in the day. Our #1 tip is plenty of sunscreen and breaks in the shade.
Hahahaha! We love it, Sam! It was in October, but people don't really look for water park content (or even theme park content) in fall and winter, even though it stays warm enough to swim in Orlando.
I’d really wanted to stay at Cabana Bay because I LOVE the mid century modern theme and finally got my chance last month! Sooooo fun!!! It was just for a night so I can’t wait to go back and explore more! And you’re right about the merch…love it!!! Did I buy myself a refillable resort cup even though I was there for a single night? Absolutely!!!! Also impressed with the size of the rooms as well as their set up; easy to utilize as a family or even as 2 couples visiting together!
I’ve never in my life thought that I absolutely had to have a resort cup until Cabana Bay. They are by far the best designs out of all the Universal resorts!
