Man, the sun is really something there! We went to Volcano Bay in December for my birthday, and I got so taken out by the sun that I almost missed Orlando Informer. We were going to film it but I felt too taken out by the sun. We still had a great time, but I got waaaay too much sun in the day. Our #1 tip is plenty of sunscreen and breaks in the shade.
Hahahaha! We love it, Sam! It was in October, but people don't really look for water park content (or even theme park content) in fall and winter, even though it stays warm enough to swim in Orlando.
Good question! Unfortunately you can only tap into one ride at a time. If the ride you are tapped into is delayed or you would rather ride another ride sooner you can swap to another ride by tapping into the other ride.
Hello, thanks for sharing the adventures. I will be heading to Volcano Bay next month (5/18) with my 7-year-old. She's not really into large rides but enjoys some of the more mild, kid-friendly rides. Would you recommend the express pass for Volcano Bay?
Hmm, good question. That’s well after spring break crowds (mid March through late April) and before summer crowds (late May through beginning of August) so I don’t *think* I’d buy it but it is a weekend day so some slides may hit capacity by like 2ish? Honestly we’ve never bought express at VB. The pools, lazy river, and fearless river are all enjoy anytime. So there’s never a need to tap into them. I like the slides and if you have EPA from staying in a universal resort or from your pass you can get some of the slides in early and have fun in the pools or rivers the rest of the day. Even if you enter the park right when it opens you can tap into a ride straight away. Just know that krakatau will hit capacity for tapping into it by around lunch. This slide may look scary but is incredibly fun. If she wants to ride that one get tapped into it before it hits capacity.
If you don’t mind me asking, what is the number of that cabana? And can you give the price and the month that you were there? We are going to the first time ever to Universal and I would like to take the kids there for the day. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. I’m with him on the ketchup. 😂
Of course! I just looked it up and it was 6C. Group 6 is a bank of 4 right by the volcano. When I called, I just asked for a volcano view. I reserved about 5 months in advance. We had the cabana in Oct so I am sure I did not need to book that far out, but I am a planner and just feel better having everything booked. It was around $350 I believe.
Went yesterday. I know booking ahead will save you money. It was an off day meaning not busy and the Cabanas at the cheapest was $799. Last year during peak season at 9:30am early entry they were $1000. Sorry but the cabanas are not worth it at that price. $300 like you said you paid, Ok. Above that no way unless you have a group who all chips in. Family of 4 with a $799 cabana and 4 ticket at $80 per person and can go up depending on the day and how busy it is. Looking at a $1200 day for a water park. Thats crazy.
Whoa! I did not know they got that high at spring break. I will say, we love a good upgrade but we are very frugal so it is a special treat for us. We always do the upgrades off season. We know that not everyone can travel off season because kids are in school or work schedules, but the price difference is substantial. I really am shocked that it was already priced at $800! I think I saw somewhere that you could rent them for under $200 a few years back.
@@goteamadventures yes they where under $200 it that was during “That Time”. We thought that was expensive, were we wrong. Lol. Anyway nice video and now we know to schedule one for a later date and at a better price.
