I keep rubber "O" rings on the posts of the blue egg marker to prevent the clips from slipping back up. So I put the egg in the marker, then slide the clips down, then slide the "O" rings down. They keep the egg tightly positioned in the marker. I also use one on the pencil assembly to keep that from moving so much.

Your message showed up just as I was feeling a bit disappointed about my classes. i just moved to Phoenix, Arizona because I have a new grandson. So I have to start all over and find new students. I had a great following in Honolulu, but I live in a 55+ community where the seniors are trying to get rid of things rather than acquire new things. So thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I will keep trying in the face of negativity. The good Lord sent your message to me just at the right time. Thank you so much!

As a fan of Fabergé Eggs I too want to try making the Mosaic Egg, like the one you show at 0:47, in order to put identical images of the flowers on both sides of the egg, how do you mark an egg so the image will be precise on both sides including right in the middle of each side (from top to bottom), I'll be using bits from Diamond Painting to create the Mosaic Effect.
@EileenTokita
@EileenTokita 3 года назад
This egg was created withouut the use of any bits or cutting. The work is dividing the egg into 5 ovals. The designs are created by using Swarovski crystals. I used a graph like a needlepoint design so instead of stitches the flowers are made by placing the stones one by one according to the needlepoint design. This is one of my most precious eggs. If I ever had a fire in my house, this is the egg that I would take with me.

You can glue a thin strip of white paper to substitute for the missing egg shell. then use white glue over the area. If there is a large hole missing out of the egg, you should just start over. Learn from your mistakes. Remember not to force the tool, let the tool do the work.
