I'm Gary Buzel a photographer and storyteller wandering the earth with a camera searching for the next abandoned building or small town story. I love Leica cameras. My current photo project is Forgotten Americana documenting the untold story of rural and yesteryear America in decay.
I love saturated film . Kodak Ektar is my favorite film. Love the orange cast saturation of this film so I hope to try it. Not a fan of Grain so Maybe I will Schoot it at iso 100 or 50. Wolfen film is way way more grainy than this.
Epson P700 and 900 are not built to last!! Just look at the behemoth Canon Pro 1000 and the build quality of that machine. It weighs twice as much as the Epson. Should be a clue
This reminds me of using respooled Kodak motion picture film, back in the 1970's. it was always a roll of the dice what the color balance would be. Plus a lot of the emulsions had to be processed at home since a typical color lab wasn't able to handle it, or if it could it had to be processed as a one-off at a premium price. Great videos, by the way. Please keep them comnig.
Thank you! Nice meeting you to. Sorry I didn't reconnect with you later in the day, the owner's son at the campground let me go hours after we met. I no longer work there.
My grandfather worked there as a quartermaster. My great aunt Helen worked there during WW2.She had also been a massuer for ladies at the Buckstaff Bath House.
Looking back that’s actually one thing I forgot to include in the video. I think shooting it at ISO 160 or 125 would probably be a better balance to open up the shadow detail. I wouldn’t go any lower than that before you start to risk over exposing the highlights. There’s not much latitude really with this film to go either way.
I'm ready....another very well done! the shots of artists and old truck are my favorites....i need to get back to Vulture City,....oh and really like the old cans. contrast for me on those really worked. Thanks Gary, keep on shooting!
Dude! Excellent episode and brief on the Phoenix. Tomorrow, I'm heading up to the Grand Canyon for an overnighter, then Flagstaff. I'll have a couple of rolls of TriX, M6, and Q2M. You and yours Be safe in your travels. Until the next episode.
1 - main camera 2 - plantation camera 3 - drone footage 4 - RU-vid camera 5 - Mic audio 6 - kids That's a LOT of multitasking, my friend. Quite impressive.
I can’t say this shoot was relaxing like most of my shoots. It really holds you to the fire. Andrew thanks for coming by my channel. Much appreciated bro.
I've watched two videos so far and love that you mix camping and photography together. You have been right around my neck of the woods. I am in Frederick, MD. We also camp, and I also shoot with a Leica. I have the M11 and M5. I also have a ton of Nikon gear for my ultra zoom needs. Great videos!!!
@@forgottenamericana I think most people are going to come here for the photography/locations, not RVing. That being said, you could always do a what is in your RV kit and how you manage your work flow while on the road in an RV.
I do not believe it would be practical on the M system. I generally do not shoot longer than 50 on the m system. I have to try the 75Noctilux. that may make me change my mind
@@forgottenamericana When the M240 was released I bought because you could use R lens on it. a little clunky at best. I now use the SL3 if I want to shoot long and some of my long R glass.
Great seeing White Post, VA. I got a really smart border collie pup in the early '90s from Ethel Conrad at Sunnybrook Farm in White Post. The used to be what looked a small building near the white post that billed itself as the "White Post Mall". That was the major landmark where to turn to get to her farm. Enjoyed the video and photos. I shoot with an M11 configured, primarily, for B&W photography. My Zeiss Biogon 2/35mm works just fine.
Great comments, and thanks for watching....It was a very interesting area to shoot.... I wanted to dive deeper into what the area had in store, but I was only there for a few days. Hope you like your Biogon 35mm, I want to try one one of these days!
Thanks Gaston. I’m a sub of your channel as well. Right now we are battling the new channel algorithm bias on RU-vid which doesn’t push out the videos very much. More videos coming soon. I want to ramp up production soon. Get more out more often. Lots of “life” things being the antagonist to that.
Furthermore, I would absolutely 100% love if you would like to join me when that time comes and I’ll go up there inside that building is going to happen eventually but there ain’t no ghost in that building. Absolutely no ghost. I have no problem falling asleep in that building. The only problem with that building is the fact that there’s a ton of mold it was extremely unhealthy and people are becoming severely sick because of how badly the building was falling apart. That’s the real problem with the building on top of several other incredible issues that I can bring up, and I have all the physical proof in the world to prove it. So the World War II Army Navy hospital should pretty much remain closed because it’s tied to a massive government conspiracy and government experimenting on people with disabilities and I can prove that to 100% be true Plus, the way the state of Arkansas government attacked my family and victimized my family using the Arkansas sovereignty law, which is actually the Arkansas state sovereignty commission and the amendment to the Arkansas constitution of 1874. They say she shall never be made at offended any of her courtrooms whatsoever, and all of the incredible history tied to it they use those godforsaken evil state right laws to murder my mom. That’s 100% factual which I can prove as well so that building is 100% tied to a murder perpetrated by the state of Arkansas and our elected officials. That’s a fact.
How do I know that to be true I am absolutely 100% the individual who shut down the World War II Army Navy hospital and I’ve got all the physical proof in the world to prove it so there is no ghost inside that building and trust me I would have no problem staying up there not one damn bit
I never saw anything like what he’s describing in that school not once and I walk those halls at night many many times high security guard is lying I will absolutely 100% go up there and walk all over that building matter fact I plan on doing so in the future for my documentary and my story as a civil rights leader since that’s exactly where my story got started at and trust me I’m not gonna run out of that building screaming not one damn bit I have been in parts of that building. No one has been in because I was personally escorted there so this man full of crap.
