If your dot is consistently off after you've zeroed it, it may be because the Sig-recommended 24in/lbs torque might be too much. I re-torqued mine to 15in/lbs, and it did the trick.
@thegreener196 It is a decent optic. The redical is etched in. When illuminated you have colors red, blue, or green to pick from. This was an American made one, but there are Chinese clones out there. Do yourself a favor, buy a better quality one, such as Vortex that give you a true lifetime warranty. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@Jayreisoffial It's always tough bringing both of these firearms to the range together. Sometimes, you feel more PDP and other times CZ. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Just bought one yesterday, mounted it, and put 210 rounds through it. Didn’t need to zero it at all and hitting steel decently after getting a feel for it. 4 inch plate at 10 yards, 10inch plate at 12 yards, and a 12 inch at 15 yards somewhat consistently. Didn’t lose zero. Price point for it wasn’t worth it but I like it better so far than my vortex defender ccw.
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 I digress, noticed a little crack in the glass near bottom this morning. It’s not in my line of sight at all. Might take it back to Cabela’s and exchange it. I bought the display model so maybe it was dropped but still shouldn’t be there. I think they should’ve recessed the glass back more, considering how deep the hood is from the emitter and brass ejects right there from the extractor. Good review!
Hello to you, I just this week came across this exact firearm at my local gun store. I have a Shield (40) 2.0 now which I came across last year at a really nice price so yes I bought it. When I held this (45) I was sold on the whole package. I love the Performance Center arms. Very nice clip well done. I did not buy the gun !!!!! Yet Be well
can you switch the slides between the 2 without a problem? I have the SAO optics ready version but am thinking about getting a DASA non-optics ready version as long as I can swap the slides out between both lowers. this way I can have different set ups for carry, at home, range, etc.
@andyhsong Yes, you can! Sig sells slides with or without optics attached to their slides. They call it the X-Change Kit. You can do it in your situation, it's just a slide. There is no need to buy anything as long as the firearms are the same model. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@wayne6386 Last I checked $1900 - $2300 depending on who your importer is. Sorry I can't find the name of the sellers right now, but one is in Texas, and the other is in Florida.
You bet I look at RU-vid reviews before I throw cash away. This video (and some of the comments) single-handedly killed my interest in this optic. I've been a manufacturer's R&D guinea pig enough already.
I ordered some 10 round mags for my echelon in two of the packages they had something else, for round count can’t say as I am in NY but when I bought the pew pew blaster, it was supposed to come with 2 10 rounds and it came with 1 10 round mag. So I complained, but never heard anything from customer service. It’s been six months.
I bought a Prodigy last year. As soon as I took the gun to the range, I had several rounds get stuck or failed to feed. I thought maybe it was the magazine, I bought 2 new magazines and same issue. I sent it back to Springfield after I had continued failures to feed. They sent it back after fixing they reamed the chamber, polished the chamber, polished the feed ramp, and tuned the extractor. I will say that it is now one of my favorite guns to shoot! I know i know I should have waited a little to make sure the gun was going to be any good. I saw good reviews and for the price at that time the Prodigy was going to be the closest for my budget vs paying almost an extra 1k for a Staccato.
@@jartega If you check out my short on the Prodigy, you'll see all the light strikes. Springfield Armory customer service said not to use S&B because of the hard primers.
The only "Springfield" firearms I buy and trust these dsys are the Croatian models manufactured by H.S. Produkts. My Hellcat and XDM Elite handguns have been utterly reliable and flawless.
I bought a 45 Ronin this year and the frame was botched from the factory. The magazine channel was not centered in the gun and the ramp was cut crooked and shallow. The nose of rounds were striking below the feed ramp in some cases, and the mislocated magazine channel caused the nose of the rounds to hit the slide stop and caused premature slide locking. I sent it in and at first they refused to warranty it and said I was expecting too much of the gun. I had to raise a huge stink to get anything done about it. They appear to be just as bad as Colt about QC.
I got a ronin and must have been lucky because it runs like a top! But the magazines Springfield supply you with are absolute junk! I purchased some mecgar mags they are modestly priced and they run as good as my Wilson combats at half the cost.
I have an Operator that shoots great (about 2 years old), but I had to drift the rear sight all the way over to where it looks lopsided. When I measured the front sight, it was at least .035" over to one side - and pinned in place. I have a new non-pinned sight to install, but it is a little annoying.
Meanwhile my forged no cast Tisas 1911 bobtail commander still shooting flawless and it came with proper mags, cleaning kit, and a damn good trigger 😂 and cost $530 out the door
I told you, bro I was one of the most excited people on the planet when they said they were releasing a new lineup of TRP‘s as my old school TRP is my absolute favorite 1911 as are most of my Springfields. However, in the last two years, I bought a emissary that as you know was not cheap went out to the range and shot it. Everything was fine just as good as I remembered from having another one, but when I got home and began to clean it, the finish began to come off on the sides. I sent it back to them after sending them pictures and they sent it back to me with the finish still messed up. I had to send it back to them a second time at which point they finally got the finish straightened out and it is a good beautiful gun now. I told you in the store whenever I held the TRP that it just did not feel the same as my old one. It did not feel the same as it did before I mentioned to you about the cheap magazines even though they were 45 mags I mentioned to you that they just seemed cheap and you said well. I changed all of mine with Wilson combat anyway as do I, but that’s really not the point. That the price tag on those are $1700 roughly and I have had legitimately had Tisas 1911s that seem to be built better. I had quality control issues with one of their hellcats and that’s the reason I will never buy another Springfield polymer gun as long as the Lord gives me breath because they are not that great. However, I’m not sure if it’s completely fair because I’ve never really liked Springfield polymer guns but I have loved their AR-15’s and they are 1911s until now. I mean honestly for about 150 more dollars I can buy a Dan Wesson that will make the Springfield TRP look like a Taurus G3. my new favorite 1911 has changed from Springfield to Dan Wesson. It’s just really that simple. Springfield has really let me down. Also, if you remember, I was telling you that I was looking at one of the new TRP‘s over at PSA in Denver and I could not get the safety to manipulate and the slide would not come back which tells me they never even safety checked it before putting it on the shelf, but he had to take it out of stock because they could not get the safety to manipulate or slide to come back
@alfredlua02 Hi, there are no cracking issues of any kind. I think when people over tighten the screws to the frame, yes you'll have an issue. This is why I think HK won't cover it in their warranties.
We made the move from the suburbs of Baltimore to Western NC a couple of years ago and couldn’t be happier. I hope you have had a similar experience. I really have enjoyed your videos, I am a newbie to shooting and to CZ. I have a P 01 and thoroughly enjoy it. I can’t wait to have it “Cajunized”!
I bought a Beretta 92A1 as my retirement present 🧊🎁 to myself, last year. A beautiful example of Italian craftsmanship. I carry her for EDC in cold weather. Once I get her cerakoted, she becomes my range Queen. No more holsters.
