If your dot is consistently off after you've zeroed it, it may be because the Sig-recommended 24in/lbs torque might be too much. I re-torqued mine to 15in/lbs, and it did the trick.
Just bought one yesterday, mounted it, and put 210 rounds through it. Didn’t need to zero it at all and hitting steel decently after getting a feel for it. 4 inch plate at 10 yards, 10inch plate at 12 yards, and a 12 inch at 15 yards somewhat consistently. Didn’t lose zero. Price point for it wasn’t worth it but I like it better so far than my vortex defender ccw.
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 I digress, noticed a little crack in the glass near bottom this morning. It’s not in my line of sight at all. Might take it back to Cabela’s and exchange it. I bought the display model so maybe it was dropped but still shouldn’t be there. I think they should’ve recessed the glass back more, considering how deep the hood is from the emitter and brass ejects right there from the extractor. Good review!
I almost bought a P365XL with the Romeo Zero Elite and suppressor height sights, changed my mind last minute and got a TacPack version instead, I'll probably look for a different red dot, although I will be carrying the P365XL, so I just might pass on the red dot, not sure. Good video thanks for sharing!
@k1ngdomdefense404 I sent the Romeo X back to Sig. Got it back, and it seems to be working properly. Though Sig said there was nothing wrong with it, I know different. My friend who shot it said the dot moved. They must have fixed it because it's fine now. I do like the redicals on the optic.
Has that same issue with the Romeo 1 and Romeo 1 pro, and romeo zero. I put on a new gun run 50 and reset the dot. It would hold after that. Now those dots are relegated to 22lr only. My Romeo 2 has been GREAT. Have it on a P227 with a couple thousand rounds of 45. Suppressed and unsuppressed. My only complaint is the plastic back window. Scratches if a light breeze goes past it.
Dang that sucks. I had to send in my Sig Romeo 5 because it lost all medium brightness settings, I only had the lowest & brightest, they just sent me a brand new one.
I had a lot of trouble with the Romeo X that I had on my 320. I shot it one time and some of finish was already coming off and I just couldn’t get it zeroed and the lens scratching too. Thankfully I bought it on Amazon and was able to return it for a full refund.
I LOVE my Romeo 1pros and romeo 2s. In fact the Romeo 2 is my absolute favorite optic right now. However, the x has not impressed me at all and sold all 4 of mine. It is the only open emitter that I have ever had a problem with getting clogged, and not being able to see through on my ccw. I had the Romeo zero, then the holo 407, then the x and now the holosun eps on my 365. The x would accumulate more debris from my environment in two days than the zero or the 407 in two MONTHS. I am an admitted sigaholic these days for both guns and optics but as of right now, I’m not a Romeo x fan at all.
@jasonbenton7962 I'm a fan of my Romeo 1 Pro, which made me consider buying the Romeo X. The best thing I like about Sig handgun optics is, they don't need optic plates as long as it's on a Sig firearm. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
You bet I look at RU-vid reviews before I throw cash away. This video (and some of the comments) single-handedly killed my interest in this optic. I've been a manufacturer's R&D guinea pig enough already.
@KeanonGilliamSlang369 ive heard they are excellent dots though.. But it seems like everything in the gun world works like this.. When something drops, it has issues and the 2nd batch or release they have worked the kinks out and ends up being fantastic.. those 21 round mags are probably seeing that issue as well.. I know 3 guys who have the Fuse, and they all say the gun runs flawlessly with the 17 round mags, but occasionally they have issues with the 21 round mags.. I remember the same being true with the 17 round mags.. After the initial release, the kinks were worked out and now they're dependable as u could want
I ditched my Romeo and first generation X-Carry for a Zev full slide for my Trijicon RMR. If I keep track of my adjustments, the RMR is really close on the Shadow Systems MR920L going back and forth.
@davej8045 Glad the RMR is working great. I'd like to replace mine with the Holosun 507 Comp, a really good optic. See what happens when I get my Romeo X back.
Dude. This video pisses me off. Well… maybe not the videos itself.. but the fact that you just made me come to the realization that this optic is hot garbage.. I didn’t realize it was the optic.. I thought it was me, breaking my grip/wrist. Also, I really thought that I somehow had acquired a scratch … after checking it out under a magnifying glass scope, I now realize that I have what appears to be a hairline fracture within the glass.. it’s weird, there is no scratch on the surface, inside or outside, and tbh, it hasn’t had an opportunity to get scratched. It has been sitting in my safe and seen only one range trip since I got it! But sure enough, there is minuscule fracture that almost spiderwebs. I didn’t notice this when shooting because it’s in the bottom left hand corner… but when my reticle shifted!!! I did notice it!! Thank you for the video! Sending this in tomorrow. If it doesn’t come back perfect I will be selling it.. which I hate, because I really, really, reallllllyyyy love everything about this optic! - except the problem- but on paper, it’s perfect.
@Kiloalphabravo I originally liked the optic, too, until all the issues. I sent mine back to Sig and heard nothing back yet. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@SkipsGunz Glad you contacted me. I mentioned you on my video new video. I have issues with my Prodigy. Sending it to Springfield, but once it's back, I'll be sending it to you.
I just used my Rome X one time at the range and the Lense is now cracked and the red dot has multiple dots on it now. The amount of money invested in this optic does not match the quality and Sig should consider taking this product off the market. I also purchased a Romeo Elite and it wont get on target at all. It shoots low and to the left and I've got an RMA for that optic and Sig is asking me if I want to upgrade to the Romeo X?? Now way, 2 strikes and I'm returning both optics. Stay away from the Romeo X and the Romeo Elite.
The Romeo X is overpriced garbage. I’m very sour about this optic as I bought 3. 2 have been back to Sig. scratches on the glass just from normal use and one that the red dot would be crisp and after taking a shot it would splatter like a starburst and then back to pure again. I’m super angry about this optic
@toddparsons2980 I sent it back to Sig. They claimed they couldn't reproduce the issues I had. My gunsmith friend mounted it back on and zeroed it. Will keep you posted. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
