I tell stories in human resources, recruiting and careers. At Workology, we help HR professionals and workplace leaders access resource, information, training and support to elevate themselves personally and professionally. We use our podcast, our newsletters, website and online training through our courses as well as this RU-vid channel to educate and elevate HR.
On our RU-vid channel we share video resources in the areas of human resources management, HR certification prep for HRCI and SHRM for the aPHR, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams. I also share HR technology product reviews and episodes of the Workology Podcast. All told, we reach over 800,000 HR and workplaces leaders monthly.

CSR is tied to employee engagement, DEI, employee retention and volunteer activities. These are all things that HR generally oversees. CSR is linked to employees staying employed at their organization and employee retention is an important metric that we measure working in HR.
Can you give advice to someone who has no HR experience? I will be done with my degree in a few months. I’ve been in the banking industry for fifteen years. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
@@WORKOLOGY Great! I just listened to your Podcast this morning on the way to work. The one about motivation theories and the other one about HR Metrics. ✨ You are God sent.
40 to 60 hours in total? I've been in the process of making a career transition into the field of HR (I'm working as a senior paralegal for an IP law firm. I don't really have any prior work experience or educational credentials pertaining to HR). So far, I've taken a few HRCI online courses on the basics of HR in general (three courses). It would not necessarily take me more than three months to pass the test. Can you recommend some studying material as well?
Yes, it depends on your knowledge level but overall our aPHR students in our course need this amount of review. You can visit www.acethehrexam.com to learn more about our study prep program.
I don't understand these? One has accomplished historic peace deals in the Middle East and had relative world peace. The other has been in office for 50 years and actively worked against civil rights, wrote and signed bills that people too this day are saying disproportionately targets blacks and has a history of being racist.
It's interesting that a hiring manager can't see a natural connection there, LOL. I would be happy to hand someone an old-fashioned paper resume if they would actually read it. It would be great to leave the technology out of it on both sides.
@@WORKOLOGYthank you for responding. I am in a situation. I have scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. I work as a contract worker healthcare worker as Neuromonitoring technologist where I go to different hospitals depending on the day. I am only given a stool to sit on but I really need a chair. Some places are very mean to me and do not provide me with a chair even tho I have a ADA letter for a stool. Some places also harass me. My actual company won’t provide me with one since I work offsite and not in the office. I will change the law to include hospital contract workers in the ADA to be covered by the actual roofs they work under. I am in Texas and am bringing awareness to this. George Bush Jr. and Greg Abbot both support the ADA and I have the attention of them. I will stop at nothing to change this. This has only just begun. Why the unnecessary pain and suffering?
Truthfully everyone is some protected group or class, everyone. Anyone who tries to do otherwise is actually standing against laws and constitutional rights that are for everyone could risk legal actions against “them” with favored elevation (or allowed segregation) of a particular class or group because - “No person shall be denied the equal protection of the law nor be subjected to segregation or discrimination in the exercise or enjoyment of his or her civil or …
I'm very confused by the sample question. The DOL states that an employee must be given at least 15 days to provide medical certification, and then the employer has 5 days to respond. Can you please let me know which part of the law refers to 5 days for employee medical certification?
