Great Video. I’d enjoy a little monthly 996 Vlog from 15-20min with Lucy K together. I’m just throwing the idea out there 🙂 Good seeing the RTT Porsche Crew on the Oregon Coast towards Monterey - definitely a trip I have planned for a while 🫶🏼
Amazing work, superb filming and editing. Found your channel through cars with Luke and instantly subscribed. Keep it up ! PS: 100% everyone watching wished they were up there with you !
Amazing video/ story, but I simply cannot hit thumps up, because of those red gloves…🤦♂️😩 I really cannot… red, and even worse, as it is ‘leather-on-leather’…
After I crashed my heavily modded, widebody 2ZZ swapped Gen 3 MR2 Spyder, I knew the void could be filled by another lightweight mid-engine machine... Thus shortly after I bought my first porsche; an 02, 3.2 liter, 6 speed, 986 Porsche Boxster S. Wasted no time modding... nearly half a decade later it's got a Fabpeed exhaust, CAI, catless headers, IPD Plenum/TB, Numeric shifter, Bilstein performance struts, H&R lowering springs,18×10in BBS Sport Classic rims in silver, a polyurethane GT3 front bumper, side skirts, modified GT3 rear bumper ( had a hard top) etc... Sounds vicious; absolute masterpiece of a machine to drive. Everything happens for a reason! 😂
@@996Roadtrip can’t wait to see more of adventure videos with the 911 also can’t wait to figure out how to get my own and go on my own adventures thru the states
996 c4s is my next attainable dream car. Prices seem to be holding + going up a bit which sucks because by the time I have the funds they might be too pricy for me to get but I’ll try. I’d love a 996 turbo but those seem to be out of reach, I’d rather go for a different car for the price. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a c4s though (:
You found a beautiful way to tell a story about a man, his dog, his car, and his passion to log miles with his soulmate in his Porsche. You got it made, my man. I love the green grassy color theme of the standing seam roof, the car and clothing. You captured the road tripping spirit with the car really well, especially the off road part. Very few Porsches get to play in the dirt like that. Now some car questions. What mods have you done to the 996? The PCCM is an obvious one. The exhaust sounds nicer than factory on camera. Car looks lower than stock. The shifter seems more notchy. What tires do you have on? My biggest concern with taking my 996TT on a long road trip off the beaten path is with the possibility of tire puncture. As you know, it’s difficult to find replacement tires especially for the rears in a jiffy. Even towing can be a pain because a flatbed is needed for AWD. Of course, all that can be mitigated if there’s an SUV to tag along as supply car.
Thanks so much! Soooo mod wise not much over OEM. The PCCM+ for sure, the exhaust is the OEM Sport Exhaust with a Fabspeed carbon fiber intake (that makes the intake sound MUCH better but not what you're hearing) the suspension is the M030 option with H&R sport springs. Shifter is the OEM Porsche short throw shifter and its about 30% less path wise than standard. Tires are Sumitomo HTR Z5's. Almost the least expensive you can buy but I have literally run every tire option on my car and these are the most versatile and best bang for the buck if you're not trying to impress anyone with your tire brand. They do get a little hard in cold weather and really let ya know when they are at the wear bars... towing. wait for a flat bed haha.
Good for you for keeping the car OEM. That’s all that’s needed to enjoy a 996. The short shifter is one of the best upgrades. I’ve never tried the Sumis. My favorite budget shoes are the General GMAX RS. It’s like 90% of a PS2 in mountain roads but more comfortable and longer life as a daily. What’s the make of the roof tent and how much does it weigh? Too bad it doesn’t have an aero shell for the front.
