After a year and a half of planning I almost bought the cheapest Porsche 996 C4S in the country. I was outbid by $250 but it was meant to be and 9 months later its now it's mine. Here is my first impression.
I wonder if the damage on the upper door cards could just be sun damage. I have a turbo that was originally from Florida/Louisiana with that same damage.
I am 99% sure it's a combo of moisture and sun. Sun damage alone on the leather I the Porsche 996 and 986 is usually some weird wrinkling and pulling at the edges like its shrinking
996 c4s is my next attainable dream car. Prices seem to be holding + going up a bit which sucks because by the time I have the funds they might be too pricy for me to get but I’ll try. I’d love a 996 turbo but those seem to be out of reach, I’d rather go for a different car for the price. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a c4s though (:
5:54 LOL This is so funny man ! keep it like this ! If you think its a good paint job after all, I'm serious this give your car a little bit of charm's, like its never gonna be New Again...
This is the OEM Porsche towers and bars, tested and certified by Yakima... Pros: Look, little wind noise, its perfectly level without the need for risers (rear towers have to be taller and bars wider than the front.) Cons: If you were a person who wanted to have wider bars for more options it's not happening with the OEM RTS. After 20 years the powder coating is starting to chip on the towers haha
Frankly, if it’s « only » cosmetics, then you’re still « lucky » (although it might well be costly to repair…). What about the mechanics? Suspensions, etc? Take care
Hahaha finally someone with this comment! This paint is 100% garbage and will be going away soon so I just didn’t/don’t care. With a car care company like Gyeon as a partner, trust me I know how to properly care for a cars finish. 😜 🤙🏼🤙🏼
