QB Spotlight provides quarterback content, primarily across the FBS level with a focus on SEC Quarterback play.
QB Spotlight is ran by former college quarterback, Steven Hamner, who now works in the sports performance field, working primarily with MLB and NFL clientele.
We are a hub for all quarterback related topics as it relates to college football. The content we aim to bring consists of the following, but not limited to the following: QB news, video analysis, interviews, collaboration with coaches and players, etc
Our ultimate goal is that we give each subscriber consistent content on our favorite position in all of sports, the quarterback position, again with a focus on SEC quarterbacks.
I have never seen Weigman hit a receiver downfield in stride, he always underthrows deep balls. I don't know if it is an arm strength issue or if he just doesn't know how to lead receivers down the field, but I am not joking when I say he underthrows them every time. Not only is this bad since, most of the time, the receiver would walk into the end zone if he was hit in stride, but also, those throws will start turning into interceptions over time. You can't rely on your receiver to make a crazy catch every time, especially when he has separation from the DB and is forced to come back.
Coach’s did a great job making adjustments real time. Expected Vol pressure like Aggies but had a great game time plan AND made adjustments quickly. Not doing that against the Okies and Ags cost us those two games.
Weigman has a special arm and is a 1st round talent. Kid could have gone MLB out of college as a SS. Special talent that has not been helped by changes of coaches. Elko is going to provide everything he needs to become a top 10 NFL pick.
Just one thing to add about that first deep throw - that was a 4th and 1 play. The short route was covered. He improvised that on the spot. That's the most amazing thing about Pavia - his awareness of what is happening everywhere on the field, and his ability to make the right decision in real time.
Dang, almost like I’ve been saying that Weigman was QB1 since the Florida game (you can check the comments on the video from this channel). I love being right about football lol
Weigman was great. Glad to see him comeback strong after a rough performance and the injury. Like you said worked through his progressions and also did a nice job scrambling. Gig ‘em!
Offensive success runs through the OL which is significantly better than last year. He is no longer pressured like he was in the past. His accuracy is what the Ags needed to field a good offense.
Thank you! We have done a few of his games so far and most likely will do one tomorrow of the Ole Miss game. Lot of SEC QB Content we do, thanks for watching!
My biggest worry about this game and the season is Cook's long ball. He has been sailing deep passes and missing open receivers deep. They are going to need that aspect of the game if they want to force people out of the box to allow Noel to have success.
The O-line's good protection and then breakdowns were both apparent. I think their general protection is why Arch sometimes holds onto the ball too long - "They're protecting me - I'm waiting for DoorDash out there..." Yes. Feed those linemen. Of course, not sharing means the Defense gets upset, too.
Wow me and you think a lot alike. I answered your question you had above just based off my thoughts and after watching, me and you think alike. I appreciate the watch. Go gamecocks 🐓 also I subbed to the Channel
I think If sellers can move it on the ground consistently and get some explosive plays that might bring passing opportunities that are easier because of it. Get the defense on the heels, wanting to stop that run and sellers gets some easy completions creating rhythm and balance. Also unpredictability doing this should put you in short 2nd and thirds and keep you in control of the clock... easier said then done but I think it’s very doable. Not impossible. Go gamecocks.
With the emergence of Cade Durham as a big play running back I believe the play action will come into play and bring the long pass into Nussmiers play book. Something that has been missing so far. He definitely has the arm to complete the big pass but defenses have been giving him the intermediate pass so he takes it...😮
@qbspotlight2336 Recently found your site, enjoyed the content. Idk if you know but Mel Kiper released his list of top 10 quarterbacks eligible for the draft. The SEC is well represented with Nussmier at 8 with I believe 4 more SEC quarterbacks in the mix Hewers, Milroe, Dart and Carson Beck making the list. I believe Nuss stays unless he is a guarantee top 10 pick imo
@@RaceBannon-x1u I appreciate the kind words! And I haven't seen that list, I don't follow much NFL, but I will check it out! I really like Nuss' game!
Take advantage of man coverage using the tempo. Arkansas won’t be able to sit and play zone all day bc they need the run support. No turnovers from Nico equals a 21 point lead before the half imo.
Very nice breakdown. I think on time throws are a huge key. Sellers gets in trouble when he tries to scan the field and seems hesitant at times. He will not have much time against Ole Miss. Hopefully his ankle is fully healed so he can be a run threat.
Mizzou fan. Good analysis. Only worry for me is crowd noise/penalties which they have dug a hole in recent games. If they stay composed it should be a Mizzou W by 7-10 pts.
