My actual block. Where that stick hit was an actual mobbed up social club run by a neighbor, nice lady too. 118 and Pleasant is a dead-end street so they would have actually had to drive past him and turn around to pull up on him like they did. The Beer truck blocks the modern-day FDR drive traffic you would have seen zipping by Washburn Wire on the river there
Sonny was such a caring. His fathers rivals use his sister and her husband saga against him and fish him out and he lost his life. But Godfather did told he not to get involved in married people's affair.
I cannot believe that there are people who view the working class people as being suckers. On the contrary, such people are the ones who built up our country, and we enjoy the fruits of their labor. The working class are people who just want to live in society without harming others. But, look what has been done! They are abused by at-will employment and other malicious fake laws that hinder them from leading a good life! The criminals makes life unsafe for every one. Yet, they commonly refer to honest citizens as being suckers. We need better laws to protect the working class because, if it weren't for them, we wouldn't have anything!
He probably saved a dozen other girls from being beaten up that day because everybody in that crowd saw what happened and got the message that it could happen to them if they ever decided to beat up on somebody’s little sister
I always hated how Sonny being a loving, big, protective brother to his sister cost him his life in the end. He reacted the way most big brothers would react, if they saw their little sister beat up like this. And it was on site? Sonny didn't even bother to park the car, properly! He parked at an angle, jumped out, left the door open, and threw a piece of wood! LMAO!
I cant believe they thought it would be a good idea to have Sonny lecture a combat Marine who just got back from WW2 on what it's like to kill someone.
You know, I had always thought that Carlo was abusing her because it was Barzini's plan all along to use Carlo to set Sonny up, but now I'm not sure. Was Carlo abusive to her right from the start, and Barzini knew he could take advantage of it? Now I'm kind of thinking that was the case, because of that earlier scene where Carlo tells Connie to shut up during the family dinner, but then again, that could have been Barzini laying the groundwork. A lot of strategy going on in this movie. Barzini knew that Sonny would react from the gut, whereas Michael always acted with his brain.
Not sure why young people idolize the 90’s. It was an era of nihilistic self indulgence. We were all just fleas crawling on a dog’s ass in an infinite sea on uncaring space. If all you see is the void then why not fuck with your brain chemistry to fool yourself into feeling a monetary break from the horror of it all.
Michael is portrayed as a USMC Captain and holder of the Navy Cross. Somehow they think that he is a virgin when it comes to killing. You gotta be kidding.
