Vodou like anything else in this world is not entirely good or bad. It mostly depends on the user. If the user is tilted naturally or by circumstance on the evil or destructive path, his or her vodou would be gearing towards the evil or destructive path but if the user is tilted toward the path of good and kindness, his or her vodou would be used for good. Let me give you a practical example, the most common spirit in the African Traditional Religion we call Ana/Adze (Witchcraft), is used by some people for business/trading and for the protection of their families whereas others use it purposely for harming and destroying others. To add to that, what most non-traditionalists do not know is that most people who harm others either use witchcraft or ebo/ hubo/ dzoka (juju), which is different from vodou. Even some native africans do not know the difference between ebo/ hubo/ dzoka (juju) and vodou. It is only the real practitioners of the african traditional religion that know of the difference.

Very nice video. We will have only 3 days in Heraklion this year so we might not be able to visit all interesting places in Crete. For sure we will take that walk in downtown Heraklion to the fortress. Heraklion will be our first city to visit in Greece before Athens and the mainland. I'm sure we will have a nice time in Crete.
According to our African traditional religion, the term voodoo means deity, god or spirit in general. There are different kinds of voodoo, with different strengths, specialties and personalities. Some of them were created along with the creation of world, some were born from the first generation pair that was created to inhabit the earth. Others came about by marriage between the children of the first pair. Some voodoo are just different avatars of the same voodoo. The voodoo dolls we usually see in movies or on the internet with a lot of pins are not voodoo dolls from the African traditional religion of west Africa. We also have voodoo dolls but they are not voodoo but most of them are what we call ebo/ hubo/ dzoka / (juju).
