Remember that many of these videos are not a "one option beats all" and that you have to figure out what your opponents habits are and play around them. Db212 into i14(-3=i17) D4 is guaranteed, can attempt for uf3+41+2 if feeling cute. Though if you do a F2~4~~3 or Df1/Ff4 whiff into neutral BT punishes against ground roll of either direction you'll get opponent's back
1) Paul's F1+4 & Auska's SS2 Sidestep evader works 2) Leroy,Lidia and Reina (You'll get plus frames instead nothing else) can parry it aswell like Jin. 4 Classic Parries like the B1+3 of Law (+7) & Xiaoyu (+6) work aswell. 4) Also Power-Parriers like Zafina (58dmg else 40dmg if not done B3 mini-combo),Jack- 8 and Devil Jin alonsgside King (He'll sponge it only use B3 or Kick Parry instead) lastly Bryan too if he has Snake/Heat Eyes or FF4 (His Sidestep good too) 5) Victor's B2 would work if its slightly delayed though do not even attempt powercrush of his as it'll be blocked like Kazuya and Feng's Cloud Shift (F3+4)
Both would work. Flick/Tap Step or Side-Walk block though Lili & Female cast wins the scenario pretty well. I had a tournament few days ago and I'd tried with Shaheen & Leroy but got clipped lmao. I'm quite used to Negan's sidestep even though a bit similar it is.😅
I knew there was counter play! Thanks! I can now imagine another ways around it! Also the second I saw Yoshi on the screen I was like "Yes, he can. Of course, he can."
Essentially what they did is that it's easier to visually confirmed that your B+1 traded with a low damaging move from the opponent so you can still pick up for a combo. Nothing about the move in itself got changed :)
Was hoping for nerfs to Dragunov, Jin, Feng, and Victor, but other than some unnecessary buffs, I'd say this is a pretty good patch. Nothing game-breaking but definitely good bug fixes here
0:45 I still don't get why charge moves can't be parried. Such a pointless nerf to a mechanic 99% of player couldn't even use properly in the first place. Parries took so many unnecessary nerfs in 8
Lars mains: I'm begging you man, pls do something for Lars. Anything. The balancing team being just one guy and he happens to vehemently hate Lars: here I'll buff literally the worst move in the game to do 5 more damage with 0 utility. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
blud has a plus on block homing neutral skipping move that goes straight into a mixup and the most annoying Heat state to deal with nah I call this yapping
Paul is good enough, that mf touches you twice doesnt matter where you are and the round is over. Deathfist should ve never been a heat engager aswell. Paul is maybe not as broken as drag but definitely under the radar
I was today years old when I learned Kings have been getting away with avoiding lows on a damn power crush.....that's literally one of 2 counters to the mechanic, and they just been throwing it out for free....
It was like 1f where king had low crushing properties when using uf3+4. In over 110 hours of gameplay with king and playing ranked in tekken god, it happened once that i crushed a low with uf3+4.
Glad I quit this game, man. I get it that Drag nerfs probably will come (eventually), but the fact that they still buffed him, even for the sake of stability, kind of tells me how out of touch those in charge of balance currently are.
Bro if this is the conclusion you came to i think you should just stay away from fighting games all together😭🙏 it’s not a buff its to make hitting an input consistent yall will do everything but be rational
@@cl0wnr732 I enjoy competitive games -- I loved Tekken 7, in fact (got me into fighting games). And yes, you're right, it is, but did a character like Dragunov really need a guaranteed follow up instead of a knockdown considering he is typically put into his own tier category? I don't think it's unfair to be unhappy with the present state of the game 222 days after its release within its present state, and why should I, given how expensive the game is along with the additional price for the character passes (that I can't lab without purchase)? If this was 3-4 months after launch, then sure. I get that a lot of people want to be like, "Yeah, well Tekken 7 balancing had Akuma," but I kind of feel like most characters in the game are balanced to shit in 8. I don't think this is a huge secret. And the problem with even comparing the two is that Tekken 7 came off of Tekken 6 and Tag 2, having less resources to actually make the game good (Tekken team was in dire straits at the time because Bob dominated Tekken 6 tournaments and TT2 just wasn't favorably received), and I still enjoy 7 better than 8, playing the two side by side days ago. And no, 7 isn't perfect, it introduced rage arts which was dogshit to the game among other things. And it's totally fine that people like 8, and I don't have a problem with that; however, trying to say the game is in a super healthy state I think is being slightly disingenuous, and for the people that dislike the game, they are likewise allowed not to like it.
