Hit the road with Lisa takes you all the places you have never had a chance to go but have always wanted to visit. Come with me and see many popular destinations and some off the beaten path. These destinations might be family friendly or a special time for a romantic get away, but rest assured, I will help you discover all the best things to see.
If the estate managers are smart they will continue to keep FAR AWAY from government grants and regulations. That is the only way this wonderful house will be sustained far into the future.
I remember going here when I was ten years old. We stayed in the teepee motel. The cave I liked best was Floyd Collins Cave, I still can see his casket in the main part of the cave. Spooky!!!!
Always exciting to travel around with you and the queen. Looking forward to the next trip. I especially like the camping trips. After your last trip to West Va. are you going back? Keep on travelin!
Lisa, I have watched a couple of your videos and I enjoy your style of documentation very much. I like when I can get as much information as possible about a certain area before I attempt a trip but unfortunately that is not always the case and google tends to fib a bit, case in point, Just this week i scheduled a trip to Clayton, Mich. to see the dinosaurs at the welcoming center, the only trouble is, there were no dinosaurs, no welcoming center and barely a town!!! LOL....We made the BEST of it anyway and found some neat out of the way things to see. After watching THIS video, I wandered if you had ever been on the Midland trail in West Virginia? There are so many beautiful and wonderous sites on this trail. Plus, there are inexpensive motels you can stay in along the way so no need for a big RV. I usually take my PT Cruiser. Any way, Thank you SO much for the wonderful videos. Be safe and God Bless.
I have never heard of the Midland Trail. I am going to have to look that up. Sorry about your trip to the dinosaurs. Trust me I know about Google's lies. I just got back from a week long trip to Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina so keep checking back. I will have some new videos coming soon. Thanks for your kind words. Lisa
@@hittheroadwithlisa2599 I used to live in Kentucky. Route 23 is known as Country music Hwy. due to the fact that there were many country stars that grew up or lived near the route. Also Corbin, Ky. is the home of the original KFC. We LOVE going to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. There are SO many things to do there. The absolute MUST is the Old Mill restaurant. I have a friend that lives in North Carolina. She lives in Lenoir. She is a musician as well and has made several recordings. The last time we visited her, we went to Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing rock, NC. We had a FANTASTIC time. We are going to be taking another road trip here in Ohio very soon. Going to visit Jungle Jim's international market in Fairfeild, Oh. again, then on to the Highland Discovery gardens in Cincinnati and visit a couple other highlites while in town, then off to Grandpa Joes candy shop in Chilicothe, Oh. I would really like to stay in contact with you and share road trip ideas. Do you have a facebook page? You can find me under Tim Zachrich. I'm the little Hillbilly guy.
@@zackzachrich7518 I’m on fb under Hit the Road with Lisa. I have been posting picture of my trip so I hope you check it out. We went through Pigeon Forge. It was an interesting town. Never been to the other places you mentioned. We spent a lot of time in the National Park. Hope to see you on fb. Also check out Ohio road trips on fb. I’m a member.
I especially liked the Nativity sets in Kirtland at the Morman visitors center. I often like to think of myself as Ralphie. I got a bb gun when I was ten along with all my cousins . They lived on a farm and by spring we had shot ever window on the place. I still remember sitting on a pillow when my grandfather saw those windows. Oh the joys of Christmas presents from the past. Merry Christmas to you also.
What great scenery. I can understand why you're looking forward to going back during all the seasons. Keep up the good work and I hope the Queen is enjoying herself.
Thank you! It was such a great day For walking aound there and I met some very interesting people. I think the spring would be a very nice time for going back. The Queen is always up for a good jaunt.
I was in this reenactment! I’m a private in the 66th OVI, and we joined with other units of Birney’s Division (19th OVI was there too) to form the reinforcement line that came in from the right. It was my first reenactment that I got to fight in, and it was fantastic. Thanks for this wonderful video!
This was great, I've been to South Bass many times and these were the places my family and I love to visit. It was just like I was there with you. I hope you do more and if you go back to Put In Bay how about showing some John Brown Jr. lived on the island I think he's even buried there. Keep up the good work looking forward to more.
