An airstream this big prob. has a very large black tank. how does the NH composting toilet get you more time than a very large black tank? Also, is it hard to get the NH unit outside for emptying? (can someone older w/ back issues do this?). if you do mostly campgrounds, i'm guessing you'd prob just prefer the black tank right?
The compost toilet allowed us to combine the old black tank with the grey tank using a $20 valve cap. This doubled gray capacity and gray was usually the limiting factor. Yes it was somewhat awkward to carry outside and empty. With 5 people we were only getting 1 week before having to change it. After a couple of years we went back to flush toilet since we weren’t boondocking enough to make it worth the extra hassle of emptying the compost. Now I would not recommend a compost toilet unless boondocking is main priority, or maybe a solo camper who could get 5-6 weeks between changes.
@@ThreeLittleTreesgreat advice! thanks. we're considering a new airstream Caravel right now....and i was pondering all this. i think we'll just keep the tanks how they are (it has a 23 gal fresh and 30 gal combined black/gray).
Just found out I’m pregnant with baby #2, 9 months post c section, took us a while to conceive with our first so we started trying assuming it would take atleast a few months, but nope! Desperate for a VBAC, my baby was 10lb 8 born and they really put the fear of god in to me beforehand and highly recommended a section, the surgery itself went fine, but I have a huge PPH afterwards, and had to have a blood transfusion, the recovery was also not fun, and I felt really disconnected from my baby as I couldn’t pick him up for the first 48 hours, I’m feeling so inspired by your story, do you have any advice or tips that aided you in a natural VBAC? I would love to hear! Thank you!
Thanks for visiting my NECK of the woods, MUAHAAAAAAAAAA! Very nice to see folks enjoy the great pacific north west. Yes it can be a bit moist out here, but it is beautiful eh! Take care
Such a neat cave. We visited there in Oct. 2022. I've watched your videos from the beginning. The girls are growing up so much and so smart too. Happy travels from southeast Texas.
Oh my gosh! I've been following you for some time now; what a great life! I'm so happy you discovered Lake Elmo Park Preserve! We live north of Stillwater and actually camp there sometimes in our fifth wheel with our grandkids because they LOVE that park! People laugh because it's so close to home, but they don't understand just what a great park it is, especially if you have kids. If you ever find yourselves up this way again without a place to park the airstream for a few days, we have room! Oh, and I was a 'Horsegirl' growing up! Loved the video.
That campground and playground combo remains one of our top favorites of all time. So nice to hear from you in the comments - thanks for reaching out! 💙❤️💚
