*We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*
Thanks for sharing. I'm fairly new to down rigging, trying to get the hang of it. My wife out catches me with lead core line at least five to one every single time, Kind of embarrassing as I'm "the master" who taught her how to fish.
BC And Vancouver Island are magical places. I’ve fished all over that island . Literally circled it. Campbell River four times. Tofino four times and Port Hardy and north many many times. The results are spectacular. I prefer Campbell River for living. Port Hardy and more north up to 100 miles is by far best for fishing.

where did you come up with the deck up front which everything is mounted to. it looks like it was manufactured that way. I have never seen anything like it on the market. thanks for the vid
You can use a bubbler instesd of adding all that weight from the battery ect. I do like your kayak setup. The bubbler is at walmart for 8 dollars in the boating dept.
No need for a fire, it's 90 degrees out, and the quad seat is your chair. And there was definately some rum and cokes going on before filming. Me and izzy the dog had a great time that day. We hung out all day at the shark shack, I fished while she hunted for sand crabs...
hey jason, it's one of the most stable kayaks out there, I think the thing is 34 inches wide. You'd have no problem standing on it to fly fish. I've actually never tipped it over and have been out in some pretty big surf....
Hey Al, you can quarter it pretty easy, it's no americas cup boat but most of the time (sea of cortez) you get an afternoon breeze from either the north or south (which blows you right back to shore) depending on which time of the year. You paddle out at dawn when there is no headwind, then when you get tired of paddling, turn around, raise the sail and get pushed into shore. Everytime I raised the thing, I was going two or three times as fast as normal and the Dorado would start attacking.
Why the square sail? So inefficient. How do you go to windward with that sail or even a broad reach? From what i can see on the clip it would only be useful downwind, is this correct?

Hey Jason, The thing is really stable and wide. It stood up well last year when I hooked a 300 pound black marlin in it. It also sailed downwind really nice. Every time I got up to speed so to speak, I'd hook into a dorado. The livewell ran continuously (on a charged battery) for three hours. When you're in Mexico, you have to make do with what ya' got!
Hey Edd, that pond is located inside the gated Rancho Mirage tennis club. I doubt you can get in without knowing someone. There are lots of stocked ponds though. I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck...
