I had the pleasure of fishing with my favorite fishing buddy today. My 6 year old grandson Caleb. He was an absolute fish slayer. We found a new shelf off Blake Island. He must have reeled in 30 fish. Nothing monsterous, but we still had a blast! After lunch on Blake, we headed back out when he landed 2 sand dabs on one hook! And by the way, no fish were harmed or eaten. The flounder were put in our livewell, and released back at our mooring bouy in Oyster Bay. Needless to say, he is sleeping good tonight...
