Hi, sorry for the late reply. I use it both for sun protection on the graft site and to prevent small mammals from chewing and girdling the bark of the tree. I lost a Nishikawa avocado to a cottontail rabbit, so I don’t take any chances now. I appreciate the question. Chris
I want to know how to find this song? My daughter leaves tomorrow for her duty station for 3 more years and it resonates to my soul. So many love songs interchange with child parent. I also can't hear the entire song so it may not translate if I heard the whole thing
Thank you for sharing your connection with the song! It's amazing how music can touch our soul. The name of the song is Don McLean (Starry, Starry Night). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oxHnRfhDmrk.htmlsi=f5J5tXseoqpmjU0T
Hey Joseph, sorry for the late reply! So far it’s looking very healthy. I no longer have a wind break on it but it’s tied up pretty good. It was dormant with very little growth for a long time until ~ early May 2023 and now it’s covered in new growth and looking beautiful. How is yours doing in Lehigh? Do you have any other varieties growing?
What other way there is to treat the soil to get rid of them? I'm in a other country and if I order the beneficial nematodes they will die of before they reach to me thanks for the video.
Thanks for your comment! You might want to try a good foliar spray from May to June and again in August to October. In addition, try to cover the the area under your tree with a good landscape fabric to restrict the larvae from entering the soil to feed on the roots and also to help you easier find the adults when they try to escape by quickly falling to the ground. Some people also apply a chemical barrier to the soil but you’d have to do some research to better understand the ramifications. Here is a link to a foliar spray that looks pretty good. However, I haven’t tried it. Best of luck!! Let me know if you have any success!! www.arbico-organics.com/product/botanigard-maxx/Root-Weevils-Control
