I had the same problem except the buzzing was coming from the side speaker of a Charge 3, the shiny circular disk marked JBL. You could see it vibrating waaay too much for some reason, though I could see no tears in the rubber between the disk and the surrounding housing. So I stuffed it with paper as you suggested, to the degree that there certainly wasn't any more 'give' behind the disk, and it works fine now. Just gonna keep an eye on the temp in case it goes on fire. Thanx for the fix. I shall pay it forward. Cosmic harmonies to you on the musical front!
Yo it worked! I’ve had this thing for YEARS! It stopped working when I was like a junior is HS and I’ve just held onto it for all these years for some reason and today of all days, nearly 4 years later since it broke, your video has it WORKING LIKE NEW! THANK YOU!
I'm not usually into commenting too lazy to do that but now i will. I just want to thank you for sharing this quick easy fix on my jbl flip 3 it really worked! First i was skeptical cus of tissue thing.. Lol. but again it worked thank you master for sharing this vid 👌😎👍
Restricting the the movement of the cone gets rid of the perceived buzz because the cone no longer has full travel. However if you don't hear a difference in sound that's a shame because it's definitely there.
Speakers make the audio to your ears they do this by pounding the airwaves when you put paper behind that speaker you're eliminating a portion of that pounding and thereby eliminating a portion of your lower signal buzzing dirt dust a broken cone would be very well fixed more with Elmer's Glue on the cone wherever it's broken are the Dust below the cone blown out if the speaker is blown for $2 get another one why screw around and mess up your sound quality
Holy shit! I thought you were just screwing around lmao But it actually worked! I haven’t used mine in almost 2 years because I’ve watched countless videos and could never fix it! I am beyond ecstatic right now! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Dude!!! When the guitar fell off your wall I'll admit, I was skeptical about how well this was going to work out. Was still a little nervous about using paper in my electronics so cut up part of an old sock instead but worked like a damn charm! You just saved me $200 man. Major thanks!
Thank you man worked for me on a JBL Charge 3, honestly I dont think it was a problem with the quality of the speaker because i like it so much but I dropped it very hard from top and I think thats how I screwed it.
