How to fix the buzzing on a JBL flip 3. super easy fix! 

I bought a JBL Flip 3 today Presidents day at a close out place in the country it looked new for $2.The tag said no cord no sound!I bought it anyway charge it and it sounded just like you described .It played but one of the speakers had an awful crunchy sound when songs with bass kicked in and a little static.I put the paper in the 2 holes and still the same but slightly better.Watched your vid again and saw you put paper in the other 2 holes where the wires connect.I carefully put half the amount in those beside the wires and Booooom!New speaker!!!Thanks young man!!A real answer .Awesome Kudos and many Blessings to you and yours!!

took my flip 3 on a bike ride and it started to sound like shit. I lost the receipt otherwise I would have taken it back to the store but rather than counting it as a loss; I decided to turn to RU-vid. Obviously I arrived here and I'm finding it hilarious that this is whats fixing my issue when I'm seeing other videos suggesting that I resolder the speaker. Thanks for the upload.

This worked for me. I suspect the toilet paper prevents the wire to the speaker from vibrating too much and preventing distortion this way.

I had the same problem except the buzzing was coming from the side speaker of a Charge 3, the shiny circular disk marked JBL. You could see it vibrating waaay too much for some reason, though I could see no tears in the rubber between the disk and the surrounding housing. So I stuffed it with paper as you suggested, to the degree that there certainly wasn't any more 'give' behind the disk, and it works fine now. Just gonna keep an eye on the temp in case it goes on fire. Thanx for the fix. I shall pay it forward. Cosmic harmonies to you on the musical front!

By the way, when you want to put the cover back on, try doing the side with the buttons first, then roll it around. Don't start with the side without the buttons, because that won't work, I was stuck with trying to get it on that way, didn't manage to do it in 20 minutes haha. Thanks, I'll try this out.

I have read other suggestions to shorten wires and to replace them with ones with softer insulators with the assumption that the wires are rattling around against the speaker diaphragm. My concern with the tissue paper is that it will eventually fall out of place. When new the speakers don't rattle so, given time, they move out of place, just as I'd expect the paper to do, eventually. A better solution might be to use rubber cement to restrict the movement of the wires (whether they currently rattle or not). Hopefully this way they will not be able to interfere with the diaphragm's reproduction of sound. Alternately, one might compare the design used with JBL's newer designs, assuming they probably are aware of this longevity problem with the older Flip 3 models.

Worked for me. stuffed all holes. especiaally the ones with the wire.

Restricting the the movement of the cone gets rid of the perceived buzz because the cone no longer has full travel. However if you don't hear a difference in sound that's a shame because it's definitely there.

Same thing happens on my Charge 3’s left driver... Coz the right driver was fixed by the service center... but they didn’t fixed the left one how disappointing
