I Just stayed here a few weeks ago for one night and they should cut there losses. The hotels is gross, the lobby and casino weren't even being air conditioned properly. I had fun bc I was in vegas but the hotel was not good for anyone trying to relax.
Another excellent video! I'm bummed to not have spent more time at the Mirage now that it's closed. Tried Otoro for the first time a few weeks ago and was impressed w. the food
I stayed there last year in Vegas and it is pretty much going to be my place of choice every time going forward. Same cost as any Strip hotel, but twice the space, amenities, and far populated for nice quiet privacy
Ask for another room and you will get a room with A/C and bro sorry about your wallet.. It's Vegas don't take out your wallet, I take cash out that I need and wallet is slim and stays in my front pocket. I have left my phone at a slot before at Bellagio and got lost trying to remember where but it was turned in to security 😊
I was hurrassed by a nasty creep at this casino for my 23rd birthday . And when I told security the man ran out like he had a warrant or something. (He was sticking his player card in my slot machine )
Circus Circus casino hotel is ghetto. When I stayed there, I couldn’t smoke cigarettes in my room, but apparently you could smoke marijuana on every room and every hallway.
Keep this one in your back pocket, because they don't put it on their menu...but they have house-made beef jerky. It's GOOD and super cheap. Very very limited supplies, and you literally have to get lucky that they have some that day.
@ Vegas Must Try Here is the Shin Lim card trick (similar to David Copperfield's): This is a trick which uses optical engineering. You get a random set of cards. The card themselves don't matter. The magician makes some invisible numbers/shapes become visible on one of cards. Here is how the trick works: One of the cards has an "invisible" print/stamp on it, which is invisible because when light in most frequencies hits that ink, the reflection (which enters your eye) is in a wavelength that is outside visual wavelength range. The show eventually turns on some additional special light bulbs which emit lights in some specific frequencies (in frequencies that are invisible to normal visual range, so you never know when those special lights ever turn on). The ink is made of "frequency shifters" which absorb the lights in that specific invisible frequency and release light in a different, albeit visible frequency. Naturally you start to see something that was once invisible to you. If the magician turns off those special light emitters, the frequency shifter stops receiving the needed invisible frequency light hence it stops producing the visible light. As a result, the numbers disappear. PS. I'm an optical engineer; a field which ruins 80% of magic tricks for me! :P
Went to the Queen Mary in Long Beach California took some pictures by the pool Halloween night when they do their Halloween tour had a whole ghost family in my picture by the pool showed it around to people that didn't believe me and I had a lot of people stunned my husband said just delete it he said it creeped them out and it's not good to have those kind of images
so to get the best burger from GR you have to go get burgers at the steak house?! so many different burgers and restaurants - might have to rewatch this before i visit
Even after all these years ..I love that place .. people like Miss Carrie and Kathy take care of people......I do not like highrise...manor rooms you can park your car outside your window.... especially if you have a lowrider.....I do miss blue iguana and or the ribss all u can eat .....
I don't see myself venturing to the Strip much when I move to Las Vegas, especially since other videos tell me how bad the parking is but this place looks awesome. Nothing beats hand made tortillas. One of my favorite spots in Sparks does the same thing and I dream about those tortillas. So, I guess I'll take an Uber out there or something to experience Tacos El Gordo for myself!
Mirage will not go anytime soon. The property will just simply close for a bit, build an additional building, and then offer the rooms at the old mirage building alongside the rooms in the new building! It is very likely that the suites at the older (current) building will be the cheaper room options, while suites in new building will be more modern with better strip views (similar to Cosmopolitan)! What will be gone though are the strip view rooms at Treasure Island! The guitar property will COMPLETELY block their view! Strip view rooms at Trump tower & Resorts world will see a severe downgrade as well!
I love these videos. The Soul Belly near the Golden knights stadium looks like a winner just because one of my best friends is a big hockey fan and it would be make sense to go there after a game if he came into town to visit and that Texas B Texas BBQ did look the best, though.
Really hoping the hard rock retains just a little piece of the Mirage just to highlight the history of the location. Also! completely agree with you that the mirage pool is underrated
George you are my hero! I love my taquerias in Reno but I haven't seen tacos like this since I took a road trip back in 1999 from Reno to Mexico City. I'm moving to Las Vegas in next year and the thing I am most excited about is getting to taste these tacos! Viva Las Vegas! But I think I like the Food Truck tacos better. The Summerlin place might be a good place for a date but honestly, the place I'd rather connect with friends or a date or whatever that looks super chill is La Vecindad Mexican Restaurant. Maybe a business meeting at the Summerlin place makes as much since, especially if the other person is paying ha ha.
If you ever go to Vietnam for vacation, stop by Là Brassiere buffet for $80. Wine, beer, tax, service charge are already in the price. You get from lobster 7 ways, high end beef, delicious desserts.
