They do soften the blow, mostly because of the extra padding, but also because it requires more energy to load up shots, so you’re not likely to hit as hard as normal. Big gloves like these are worn with the intent to protect the hands of the puncher and soften the blow to the opponent 😌
Seems suspiciously good for first time and somehow knows already how to land all the shots perfectly. By first they could mean actual sparring probably did some other forms of sparring before hand.
I went to this gym. This boxing gym is considered the best boxing gym in Orange County. That is why the guy with blue shorts did good for his first time training. They train you real good at this gym. Best gym I’ve been out of 5 boxing gyms.
both guys not 1st time... for sure.. even if you are gifted and talented.. you cant do what their doing... both guys have good footwork... one is boxer and the other guy is slugger... different style.. but 100 percent both guys was not 1st time... i sparred a lot of begginers in boxing.. 1st time guy cannot concentrate in the whole round... once you hit them they become stun even its a jab,cross,uppercut or hook... even a weak jab can stunned a begginer guy.... and im not sure but i think the video is a little bit fastfoward...😊

I mean this as a compliment. No way that it's the first time this kid sparred. His movements and techniques are too skilled for first time. Maybe first time in a gym ring but not first time.
