Best Actor and Best Actress mnominations at the very least. And as for "musical" there is nothing more devastating that putting chaos and blowing ump buildings full of people and smashing people with giant hammers to music. It will be a very intense combo. The Phillips we trust!
There has always been an unsophisticated audience for badly written, badly acted and badly directed shows.....like this one. Dressing it up with false praise because you can't tell the difference between genius (Tolkien) and garbage (T.R.O.P.) is like putting lipstick on a pig. It may be a slight improvement but at the end of the day it's still a pig. lol
What a stupid comment 😅, any adaptation is not going to be 100% accurate, heck the LOTR films were definitely not 100% accurate to the source material (back in the day they also got so much backlash). If you don’t like it then don’t watch.
I'm a lifelong Tolkien reader / collector, and I can't stand all the hate from what I call #toxictolkiengatekeepers It doesn't matter to me if the show is focused more on casual fans and the masses, changed the lore up, has characters of different ethnicities, or whatever else haters cry about. I am just happy us book readers still get little references and characters we can appreciate through the massive entertainment that this show is. The production is unlike any other fantasy or movie ever. It is epic and I loved this trailer. This show will only get better into future seasons.
I love your comment. It's so true. There's so much negativity out there. I think they tend to get more clicks but it's just so depressing. This show has so much potential and had some really amazing elements in the first season. It's not easy making something that is universally loved and when you have something as near perfect as the Trilogy, it's always an unfair comparison. I'm just here to celebrate the good as much as possible. Awesome having some like minded people along the way. Thanks for your thoughts 🍿
Your reaction to this trailer was so….refreshing and invigorating. All the haters reactions have been honestly hard so seeing someone get this touched by this epic trailer made me so happy
They had a BTS pop up as well showing the process of what they are creating for the battle scene which is happening at the end of the season. It looks like it will be beyond amazing. A lot to look forward to 🍿
That line of Sauron at the end of the trailer talking with a speech about darkness and shining, i really want this, i have waited for so long to have a Sauron acting in the big screen like this.
I think you did a great job breaking down the issues surrounding ROP. I'm glad there are people that can enjoy it; I'm just not one of them. I'm not interested in fanfiction from Amazon's team of writers. I'm interested in adaptations, seeing the words of Tolkien brought to life on the screen. Since that's not what this is, I'm just not the target audience. it's just a random fantasy show for me, and there are better ones I can watch instead (such as Vox Machina).
That's fair enough. I can completely see why this is not for everyone. It's all subjective at the end of the day. We are so spoilt these days with so much to watch that if things don't quite work for us, we find something else that does. Vox Machina has sounded really good. Was that the one based on a D&D campaign?
You absolutely should get more into animation. There are so many stories and characters that people push to the side and don't give them a chance because, "Oh, it's just a cartoon. It's not meant to be taken seriously. It's just for kids." Which is so not true at all.
I still remember when peter jackson’s lotr was heavily criticized because of the same reason. ( tom bombadil, the old forest, where’s farmer maggot, where’s Anduril in the first movie, where’s the fell beast at the end of the fellowship, etc) but back in the day we didn’t had so much toxic communities on internet
There is a ngiht and day difference. There is no respect to the story they just blindly make stuff up everry where, Jackson followed the story with a few mino changes. Amazon throws out the story and writes what it wants so has nothin to do with Tolkiens world, even the trailer shows so many huge intentional mistakes again.🤬
@@cmwoodsman9275 agreed, I remember that too. You can't always translate things 1:1 from different mediums. Films are completely different from books and series are completely different to film, in most cases. At the end of the day, if it's got great characters and epic visuals with a solid story, life is wonderful. I'm hoping this is as good as it looks. Thank you for your insights 🍿
@@cmwoodsman9275 thank you so much. I appreciate that. It's really been great being part of a community of fans who want to see the good in things. Thank you for watching :)
We did get to see farmer Maggot's scythe being waved above the corn stalks. On second thought, it may have been only one of his farm hands. Only Peter knows I suppose.
I'm amped to see that! It's one of the things I really appreciated about the show, looking at a possible way that events and characters came to be. It doesn't have to be a perfect translation from the books to be an exciting idea. If it's done well, it adds some serious epicness to the characters we love. Thanks for watching 🍿
They also mentioned Glorfindel making an appearance, they must mean the encounter between the two which is of course hugely consequential to the trilogy.
@@okultusrexus3660 it would be awesome to see Glorfindel. We may be seeing some Balrog murders happening. There's just a lot to look forward to with this new season
Yeah, anyone reacting to that trailer and has negative comments.... isn't reacting to the "show" but just the lore. This was the best trailer i've ever seen. I love the books and I love the lore, and i'm completely fine that the show doesn't follow it to a "T". They CAN'T follow it to a T as they don't own the rights to that book. I think they are doing a wonderful job with what they "have" to work with . It's so neat seeing charachters come to life (even if it is slightly out of place or different timeline than the books... Keeps things new and interesting in my opinion
Love your comment! This trailer really surprised me, it looks so epic!!! Can't wait for it to come out, hopefully it lives up to the trailer. Thanks for watching 🍿
Whoa! That would make sense. He is exactly the opposite to a lower level wizard 😅. It will be interesting to see if they show how insanely powerful he is. Thanks for letting me know 🙏🏻🍿
@@TheMaxFlicks He doesn't have a mandate or desire to interfere much. This appearance in this season is already a bit of a stretch. If Tom can flex his power then so can Ungoliant so let's not go there.
I don't think they'd show Ungoliant. They seemed to avoid showing her in the destruction of the two trees. You never know though. I'm sure Mr Bombadil will probably only feature for a short time. He always seemed to be on his own mission doing his own thing.
@@Martin-bf3by which part? The FACT that it's terribly written with a clear political agenda or the FACT that the acting is on par with a junior high play or the FACT that they changed so much of the canon lore that it really shouldn't even be called lord of the rings. It is objectively trash.
@@tmckain5532 Peter, Fran and Phillipa changed the lore more than these did. There's no political agenda u witless worm. Peter changed Aragorn, Boromir, Faramir and didn't include quirky Bombadil because they wanted to modernize it. Amazon aren't breaking the lore by creating they're own characters with they're own stories that dont change the lore. It's simply a fill in the blank story as Tolkien called the second age so go back to the shadow.
Jackson's LOTR is fan fiction. No character in the film's are in the books, they were modified, some beyond recognition. There is the cinematic Middle-earth and the books. They both have their place.
@@edwine8857 for me the LOTRs seemed to follow the main story and main character arcs pretty closely when I read the books. I've only read them once so maybe I need to return to them. The rings of power seems to be creating a lot more than the source material provides from what I've read so that's what makes me feel like it is more fan fiction. But I completely get what you're saying with the films and series being their own thing, seperate from the books. I agree. They have their completely own fandom, feel and sometimes narrative. They have their own place and people shouldn't get too stressed over things not following the books perfectly if they create a really amazing story. Thanks for your insights 🍿
I think the music was a good match. Got me excited. This being said, I prolly need to rewatch the first movie. Definately looks like a copy paste job. Nothing is new now days. Great reaction!
Yea I can get why some people would like the music. It's a solid song. Just took me out of it a bit. The original is so amazing, I hope this can live up to it 🍿
Ooooo, that could be interesting. If there ever was someone who could take on Red Hulk, I'm sure She Red Hulk could give him a run for his money. Who knows what they will do but they will definitely need someone powerful enough to take him on. Or sing him black widows song, the red version. Thanks for watching 🍿
@@TheMaxFlicks even though red hill and red she hulk are farther and daughter so I doubt they would hurt each other but definitely just like hulk vs she hulk
Yea I agree. I hope it's great and unique. I'm sure the battles and sword fights will be amazing. It just didn't strike me as a unique take from the original. We shall see. Thanks for watching 🍿
It will be interesting to see how they play it out. Whose strong enough to take on the Hulk in this movie? It definitely isn't Falcon. Unless he knows a sneaky song like Black widow did 🍿
