hi, Graham, so sorry I missed the premiere... I was working late, for a change, and sorry for not listening sooner! excuses excuses 😊 anyway, listened now and I really enjoy what you have done here... great use of delay and reverb👍
Absolutely no need to appologise Andy. These things are hobbies so have to fit around life. Good of you to listen though. One more track to come in this project, no music written yet but ideas going through the grey matter. Fitted in another small video project for Berwickshire Marine Reserve recently and I'm wondering whether to include the music from that as a bonus track in this project. We'll see.
Wow, it puts me in the position. I'd love to try an ebow with my bass have you tried an ebow with your bass? I would also be tempted to try chorus delay and maybe a touch of reverb setting a loop?
Have a look at some of my other videos for Ebow on bass. Try your bass through effects, Andy Othling and Chords of Orion have plenty of videos telling you how. Go for it and experiment.
No need for extra gain. This was just through delays and reverb and recorded in Cubasis on the iPad. The Ebow produces a fairly hot sound on its own. Thanks for looking in.
Sorry for being so late in replying Luke, had no notification from YT. Thanks for your comments. This has been a fun project from the snorkelling to the music production. Hope you are on the mend soon.
fantastic video and accompanying music, Graham 🙂👍 I've only ever been snorkelling once, and that was during a holiday in Menorca the water there is a lot clearer than I expected... looks great
With the Helix you have a choice with how to set the switches. Latching allows you to set it selected the function and keep that function on all the time. Momentary allows you to press the switch which engages the effect but as soon as you take your foot off it it reverts back to where it was before, hense momentary. With this switch, when I push it it takes the time perameter to full which gives the sound you hear. Thanks for checking it out.
@@BassBusMusic I get it. Sort of like the Flexi switch on newer EarthQuaker Devices pedals. Thanks! I really dig your channel. Thanks for sharing some great ambient bass music!
@BassBusMusic Ahh okay I was just wondering as your music was in a game I played recently, are you happy for your work to be used in other projects like games and films?
Excusez-moi d'utiliser Google Translate.
Thanks Andy. My aim is to have a bass led album ready for spring release. We'll see if that happens. I have a small unpaid commission to do first locally which will take up the next couple of weeks. New track to come from that.
Andy turned me on to you and I love your work, and stumbling upon this video You are using the same bass I have as well. Thanks for the inspiration to try something similar.
Thank you for all you kind words. Andy is a good bloke and makes some very fine music himself. I'm trying to get back to making music with the bass again but technological breakdowns are getting in the way. I'm trying to work round things until breakages are repaired. These LTD basses are very good value for the money. I changed the preamp in this to an East. Much more powerful.
