I only have Impalas right now and I read online that you can't put slide blocks on them cause they'll rip apart. I wonder if I can do these tricks or I should just wait til I can upgrade.
Great video! I am considering this one to film me skateboarding. I have a (now scratched) insta360 one x1 but hate the video quality. Would be cool to use the iPhone.
Great video thank you. I stumbled over this when looking for blocks for my roll line blaster plates. They cost enough, that I don't want to scuff up the kingpin bolts and the trucks. Let alone the plate. I guess, if you wanna have fun, you gotta just mash em up a bit lol
Hi! Can you do a gear breakdown or point to a video where you might already have one? Your knee pads look so much better than ones I've found Thanks for sharing the videos!❤
Thanks for sharing! You're an excellent instructor, I appreciate these videos so much and you've got a beautiful family, I love to see your husband try and the cute lil dog who wants to skate, too!❤
Thank you!!! This was a connection I was missing. "On the Flat get ready, squat before the transition…Pump with power all the way through." Any advice for keeping steady going backward on the transition?
Thanks for this video! After watching and trying to apply the advice, my pumping got better. I still need to practice a lot, but I managed to start the path of development.
Thank you for your videos! 40 year old indoor rink veteran here. I found my first Skate Park last summer and became quickly addicted. Every skill I take to the park today I learned from your tutorials. I gave a shoutout on Quad Squad for your design and development of the bont slide block and grind trucks. Today I tried my first P rail slide I had too much weight on my back skate. I ate it pretty hard, but if you're not falling you're not learning. Thanks again for your tutorials!
This video is so well explained and detailed. For us beginners it is super important that steps are explained in bits and pieces that we can digest. So awesome! Can’t wait to be doing this!
My wheel spins for like 2 seconds before stopping but if I loosen the wheel it’s able to wiggle and if i tighten the wheel well it just becomes tight can u help me please
It could be the bearing. As long at the bearing spins smooth without noise they are fine to roll on. The quality of bearing differs greatly and usually the better quality bearing spins longer.
Shorty, is this only doable in derby skates (flat, ankle boots etc.) or is the idea the same in park skates like Bont Parkstars/and or artistic skates?
Not park skated before. I did my first street skate at the weekend. I skate at the rink usually. After watching this video i'm encouraged to have a go. Thanks
AAAAAH I see so I need to be better at balancing on one leg. how do you slow down on hills? I like this format. having your husband learn with us is a great way for you to see problems us beginners might encounter. How long did it take your dog to t stop? I skate with my kids 7 and 9
Depending on how steep the hill is there are different ways. Here is an Instagram I made that might help you. instagram.com/reel/CysvDMvy5Wq/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
do you have a longer video on this. Now that I seen it I want you to elaborate. There are a lot of terrains in my neighborhood and I don't know how to slow down let alone stop
I have tutorials for 1. T-stop - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z9Ynco3UCWw.html 4. Powerslide (New) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3cdhAeG5-bo.html The plow stop, turn around toe stop and hockey stop tutorial are on my to-do list.
Im trying to do this with air over coping. I try to ride the transition as high as possible and pump closer to coping, but i end up clipping my back wheels against the coping as i shoot up to apex. How do i avoid clipping going up, but still getting that air? Thanks. How close to the coping do you do the last pump before apex? Thanks!!
So you should be pumping through the transition hard enough that you can 'coast' and keep a bend in your knees as you pass the coping. If you are clipping on the way through you may need to bring your knees closer to your chest. Feel free to DM a video to my Instagram @shortstop.6
