After a bird stole my wax a couple of months ago, I have been putting off buying new skate wax. I had this old broken candle lying around and thought, why not make my own? After some googling (links below), I set out to make it happen.
I couldn't find instructions on the oil ratio to wax, so I winged it. It was raining today, so I'll test the wax soon and keep you posted. This is my first attempt, and I think I'll try some of the other versions next time if this doesn't work eg. adding butter or soap.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Candle wax
- Vegetable oil (I used Olive oil)
- Knife
- Tin can
- Saucepan with some water
- Something to stir with
- Silicone mold or similar
