I would recommend a big Y test from FTDNA to explore the paternal line,. *EDIT*, I just noticed that this "French man" was your maternal grandfather so the Y'dna test would not help with information about him. Ancestry has a much larger database when choosing an autosomal testing company.

Both of my parents were half European and half Asian (West and South, as well as a little bit of the East), and watching this gives me a good idea of what I'd be expecting when I'm finally receive my DNA test results (MyHeritage). In general, you can inherit from about 20% to 30% from a grandparent, though the average is somewhere near 25%. I have a fully Pakistani maternal grandfather, a mostly Dutch and Western European maternal grandmother, a fully Turkish and Middle Eastern paternal grandfather, and a fully Iberian paternal grandmother.

No anus included, I'm quite sure... We Serbs cook and eat intestines too but we wash, marinate and spice up things, so in general those are pleasant meals most people can eat, usually on the spicy side though. Andouillette is different, raw intestine taste, yack. I can stomach it easily, but most people can't :)
As Jean-Pierre Coffe, a famous French gastronomy critique said on television: there's not such andouillette if it hasn't a piece of the pig's anus in it and that's a true quote!
I had andouillette in a Paris restaurant thirty years ago. As I remember a coarse cut sausage served with red wine sauce and fries. I didn't know what was in it and didn't notice anything nasty with it. Anyway I'm a biologist and not easily deterred.

I tried andouillette once and it wasn't bad at all. But there is a lot of pieces of "something" inside, and the texture is not so nice. But the taste as well as the smell was not at all bad.
Haven't tried this. What did it smell like? When intestines are cleaned and cooked thoroughly they shouldn't smell bad, maybe only a little hint if you put it close to your nose, but that little smell should be gone after cooking. Perhaps the andouillette people with horrible experiences have tasted wasn't prepared properly.
Middle Eastern Jewish would be Mizrahi and Sephardic is From North Africa through Spain , Portugal and of those descent wherever they went because Eastern European would be Ashkenazi Jewish.
Tripes and intestines are delicious. Every kind of sausage are intestines filled with several kinds of meat, spices, herbs and sometimes fillers like oatmeal or potatoes. - It tastes delicious and for this reason I defend the andouliette AAAAA.

On my Ancestry Dna I received obviously African countries, Middle Eastern, European and China which I was expecting, and other East Asian countries I was surprised about like Korea and Vietnam. But I want to try the My heritage and see what I get also. Thank you for this interesting video btw. I think Jewish might show up as I was told Jewish is in my family too. Lol
oh we're biologically similar that's why I probably don't think you look mixed in my vie people close to 50% ssa are basically black because in america half black americans are around 34-44% ssa on average. Most will not be 46% black. 45% ssa to 55% is usually a black american possibly with a mixed parent or something
I think your referring to multigeneratioal mix african american s . My mom is only 50 to 60 ssa which put me at 25 percent african. .the average african american Is only 75 to 80 african. 25 to 20 european.
