Her co-star from Frozen, Mckenzie Kurtz, is premiering as Glinda in Wicked in February. Does anyone else want to see Ciara Renée as Elphaba? She has the perfect voice and acting, and would already have previous connections with Glinda, which would be a plus. Ciara would be a perfect Elphaba!

With the ease she has singing this I have no doubts she can do the original key perfectly. They probably did half a step down to save her voice since she had to do so many full shows a week. It's the smart sustainable choice.
With a show that cheers that hard at a costume change and the last note at the end HOW DARE THEY CLOSE IT. To be honest... The Lion King isn't memorable to me. Aladdin is just meh. This is some legit vocals. <3
@@sheismymom How dare you? There are plenty of people being open about their mental health illnesses for awareness and understanding, not for attention. She is trying to erase the stigma surrounding anxiety disorders, depression, and even more serious issues like bipolar disorder and PTSD. A stigma you seem to only add by your ignorance and hatred. I have major depressive disorder, PTSD, and generalized anxiety disorder. And I talk about it openly with others to communicate what I'm going through and help others understand and break down the stigma surrounding it. I'm sorry if you disagree, but this is the 21st century, and things deserve to change, and that includes erasing the stereotypes and stigma surrounding mental health illnesses and disabilities. And Patti is an extremely caring and special human being, unlike you. And it seems like you are the one crying for attention because of your hatred. Shame on you.
Tbh the song itself isnt that great. If it came out as a musical song first and not in the movie, I think it doesn't compete as good as other Disney classics.
