Some tech opinion. automatic nozzles should't be used in forest fires. In some scenarios and this is the one one inch fire hose with storz couplings is a fast to connect and is a way of moving and get all the fire area fast.
A little bit of a voice over would help us who don't understand firefighting get more clued in. Does it make firefighters safer? Does if make it easier to fight the fire? Does it reduce property damage? etc.
Plywood isolating fir from coming back down and preventing water from reaching the crawlspace. BEAU-ti-ful. I like the check in to vent you don't always hear that.
you are good at finding the hot spot on those roofs too. Watching your videos all that released gas immediately flashes into flame and dissipates like the flame at the tip of a blowtorch. Gotta watch the ridge vents though, some of the modern ones where they leave an inch at the ridgeline will roast your squirrely treasures. The solid timbers at the ridge do make it safer to be up there though. Ironic....
Looked like the team was working nicely. Size up done, walk around done as gates were getting popped. Doors in work as roof crew assembles. The roof vents as the water starts going on the red stuff and the roof operation is far enough away from the roof fire to not be a likely risk. I heard a room was stacked with tires, obviously an insurance job. The moment I got a search clear it is time to back out for a defense, no one's life is worth $$ on an insurance balance sheet on an abandoned building. I like the new hardware on the gate in back.....the owner was not screwing around with recovering his investment.
