I find that your method of making the starter and the sourdough bread are the easiest for me to follow. I just started my starter, I hope that the bread will turn out good. I much prefer the loaf pan rather than the round shape. I will let you know how mine turned out. ❤
Guess what just as luck would have it, I noticed those bowls at dollarama lol. They had 3 left, 2 red and 1 blue, they came home with me. I thought if you when I seen them lol. I’m looking forward to using them next sourdough bread day. ❤
Why do you put a pan of water in the oven to create steam for this recipe? I know it’s good for the sourdough boule, but I wasn’t sure why for a sandwich style loaf. The recipe looks good and your demo was great. I’m baking a loaf today!
Within a month, I had excruciating pain in every bone of my toes/feet/ankle and knees, literally being crippled. I also had pain and numbing of sensation in my fingers, wrists and elbows. They took X-rays of all joints as well as a blood test. Then I met the resident rheumatologist. He confirmed I had "good" arthritis, meaning osteo instead of rheumatoid arthritis in every joint. I asked what could I do to stop or lessen the pain that was keeping me awake at night and in agony every day. He said "nothing".... that it was 'normal wear and tear' of the joints. But, he could prescribe pain medications to help me. I spoke with my D.O. and she said I had signs of inflammation throughout my body. She suggested I try a plant based diet, giving up meats, processed foods, dairy, eggs, cheese, etc. I wondered what was left to eat??? Cardboard??? But, I tried it for 30 days. And ALL my symptoms and pain disappeared! She was right. And the Rheumatologist was a pill pushing fool who should go back to med school, FAST. (A year later, the cataract in my left eye, scheduled for replacement, cleared!!!) I hope what I learned might help some others reading this. (3+ years now!)
I am a grandmother 77yrs. This is my first time to your channel and I am so happy to hear you are homeschooling. We endeavor to encourage the mothers we meet to homeschool if at all possible. Many feel they are not well equipped but after your experience they find that they are. I am so happy for you and the bond you are developing with your daughter.
If your bread does not rise after taking it out of the refrigerator overnight, put it in your oven with the oven light on or in a warm place for about three or four hours and it will rise in the bread will come out beautifully.
Hi Amy, I just found you on RU-vid because I was looking for easy sourdough recipes for my daughter who lives in Georgia (I'm in PA). Your video is great. I had to chuckle at this video because I have the same thing with my husband. He's about 80% WFPB and I don't cook anything animal based in my kitchen. I love Jane & Ann Esselstyn and am subscribed to their RU-vid channel. Wondering if you've seen the Well Your World channel. They are all about "simplicity" and have so many lovely cooking ideas and stress taking the "stress" out of cooking. I've been plant based about 10 years and would never go back!
No yeast.. and implying that yeast is unhealthy too... And then using Baking Powder I.e: Sodium Aluminum Sulfate combined with Calcium Acid Phosphate... (Goodbye Kidneys, hello CKD) Pure Baking Soda Plus Cream of Tartar way healthier than Baking Powder and that mixture would still make the kidneys cry. The logic in the video is just inconceivably flawed
Your behavior is inconceivably flawed. I can think of a lot of good reasons why someone might not want to eat yeast. For instance, a yeast allergy. If you genuinely care about good health in others, you will learn to control your mouth. The way you speak does far more damage to one's health than a dash of cream of tartar.
