I absolutely love it and it’s very easy to clean. I just have a sink of hot soapy water ready to go so when I’m done juicing, I can quickly clean up quickly.
Great video! I also never get sick because of similar WFPB lifestyle and supplements. Occasionally I do feel a cold and swear by zinc lozenges, Cold-Eeze or similar, every 2 hours when awake. I have read that the zinc ions bind to the same receptors as cold germs so it prevents the cold from getting a hold.
I would also add garlic. If you cook it, just make sure you allow 10 minutes (after you mince it) before you cook it to release the allicin for the best benefits.
This is absolutely fascinating! Thank you for your incredible insight. I love carrot juice mixed with orange. I always juice them during cold and flu season for my family when the prices for both are way down.
Hi Aimee, that was a great informative video! I also believe in the healing properties of carrot juice! I’ve used it as well when feeling sick. Usually I cut out all food and just have the carrot juice and add some kale. It is truly amazing it’s so sweet and taste so good and I love adding an apple too! Now I mostly use products from Dr. Schulze’s American botanical pharmacy… Echinacea plus and super tonic! And if you have a cough his lung tonic is fantastic! Dr. Schulze also says to do juicing when you are sick! These products are not budget friendly though. But totally worth it I always have my cupboard stocked. Most of the time all I have to do is take it for a few days and the cold is gone. I have used them also along with carrot juice and that is super powerful! Here’s a testimony to the carrot juice… When I was very young maybe 10 years old or so the dentist said I would need braces. My mom read up on carrot juice and it said that for your teeth you need vitamin A. So my mom made me carrot juice every day. And the next time I went back to the dentist about six months later the dentist said that I did not need braces! Carrot juice saved my teeth! I never thought to eat the blueberries though! What a great idea! I’ve done a lot of research myself on blueberries and wild blueberries are even more powerful! So I do buy the Wymans frozen wild blueberries and put them in my smoothies! And those are not organic. I will have to try eating those all during during the day if I get sick! Thanks so much for all your wonderful tips! Life gets so busy and the juicer just gets put away and I get lazy especially when I feel so sick that I can’t even get to the store for the carrots and I’ve been relying on the echinacea and super tonic formulas but I think I’m going to get my juicer and put it in a place where I can get it out quickly and easily and go back to the carrot juice! You are a real inspiration! Thank you!
Hi dear Amy, happy to see that your 8 tipps works.🙏 I have another good point for you: put a teaspoon apple cider vinegar in your tea. It also helps against the cold. Or, if you have heavy throat pain, put a third cup of hot water mixed with 3 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar on a big citchen cloth, put this hot and wet cloth around your throat and put a big hand towel over. Wear it until it is cold or over night. THIS is a game changer! By the way thank you for the special tipp about the carrot juice. And thank you for the little note about organic and non organic. I am struggling about this so often. So many people say "you only have to buy organic or you will get sick". I have read so many times that there is no difference in their vitamins and minerals. And, both - organic or non organic- is sprayed with fertilizer or pestzides, the one with chemical the other with naturals. How do you buy your grocery? Do you buy lots of organic or do you buy normal food?
I love that you use apple cider vinegar so you may already know this but when you buy fruit, organic or not, put it in a bowl of water and add a couple of tablespoons of vinegar. Let it sit for 20 minutes then drain and rinse lightly. You don’t taste the vinegar, it preserves your fruit for longer and it cleans it of the pesticides. I do this for all berries whether organic or not!
