Soup and Thunder is a joint channel for artists Souperion and Wassup Thunder to remix video game songs for all to enjoy! Video game music is an art form that we love to explore for the memories it brings and creativity it inspires.
Souperion and Wassup Thunder use FL Studio to create remixes of video game tracks, as well as original compositions. We collaborate on remix projects, and also upload solo remixes to show our unique styles in addition to our joint efforts. We favor a more transformative approach to remixes, exploring how to reinterpret the stories told by familiar (and less familiar )video game songs.
Wassup Thunder acts as their spokesmen, and runs the channel. He does all the talking.
A very pretty and complex piece. Definitely a lot of wild piano going on there, balanced by guitar, vocals, and other insturments to balance the emotion of the song
It's that time again, Metroid Prime 4 finally had it's gameplay reveal so I wanted to invite you to participate in my next big Metroid related remix project that I intend on inviting other musicians to participate in as well, it's going to be called the Metroid Prime Beyondmix and the goal is to remix a variety of Metroid prime related game music which includes titles like Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid Prime Hunters, or if one knows how to compose a remix from scratch Metroid Prime Federation Force related music too are. Remixes of songs that are from the Metroid Prime named games only will be a part of the remix project unless one uses Metroid prime percussion samples which if I remember right can be ripped from the Metroid prime pinball rom or can be found through the youtuber Synamax's Metroid prime sample packs that he has on a video I don't know if his samples packs have the percussion in them but either Metroid prime percussion or Metroid prime related samples will make a song that is remixed from a non Metroid prime titled game allowed to be submitted for the project. Just thought I'd invite both of you to the next metroid remix megamix I look forward to hearing your replies the deadline is a ways away and the final deadline won't be until there's a concrete day of release revealed.
Reminds me of that fire level in MMZero 2, mashed with some Megaman X1 goodness. That soundfont guitar work is fire. The bell arp and drum work is also great!! Killer arrangement goyz ;-)
2:22 bit is my favorite part. Nice guitar sliding. The detuned bits really drive up the tension and the sample choices are spot on. Good SFX choices, and dat sexy Brinstar bass. Also...congrats on hitting over 1K subs guys, you have Mega earned it!! You should celebrate with whiskey, cigars and hawt cosplay girls. Keep being awesome S&T 😀
@@soupandthunder6018 I second this! "Biohazard Level" is very metroid meets megaman, and I'm here for it. Awesome work!! That detuned vibe for the main chorus makes it even more "holy sh1t, gotta deal with this threat now!!"
I do like this, but it feels more original Mega Man, more playful and speedy rather than the "Deeper" Mega Man X themes, I see this could be a part of some different Mega Man series, because it feels Mega Man'y but I just can't figure out where it would fit in the Mega Man X games we have or in the particular X series
I once read a comment on a RU-vid video of the original version of the song that said Rundas used the last of his consciousness to kill himself so Dark Samus doesn't take control.
Maybe he could see the whole fight through his eyes. With no capable strength of crying out or halting his actions. Upon defeat he chose sacrifice over subjugation. Honor to the end, Hero.
There is an awesome amount of funk and electronic rock to this track! A good mixture of guitar, machinary, and melody to make a rememorable (and dare I say groovy?) tune! I feel like this belongs in a Golden Sun or indeed, a Mega Man game!
I don't make a lot of comments in RU-vid but i feel this is an exception i have to do , this soundtrack is AMAZING ! I can really feel i'm playing a Mega Man X level , with the train and a great city in the background destroying mavericks , you deserve more views and subscribers my dude , wish ya the best and thanks for creating this master piece of fan made ost ! U deserve the best !
If they invented time travel, would you go back in time to redo the MMX3 soundtrack for them? I think you guys would have made history with your level of talent.
The AI didn't nail this one, with a train on top of a train, lol. Great track! Especially once the melody for the chorus kicked in. Easily could've been a track written in between X3 and X4.
Hooooo boy, this is some good MMX synth rock!! Such nostalgic goodness. Nice use of those Snes soundfonts! And the track def. has the energy of a high-speed sequence/transportation vibe. It could work for a hyper-bike level too ;)
I always look for remixes of Crash from time to time, as I feel it's the boss theme that most represents the chaos of Mega Man Zero. And I can say that you have created something legendary, adding the Theme of Zero mixed in, is a great idea for everything that the game stands for. Thank you so much for so much ♥
I was expecting the usual soft opening, but you went right into the hard beats and MAN DOES IT SHINE!!! And that X1 Zero theme (or MMZ1 Stage 1 theme, if you're not an X player) really gets that hype going! You guys never cease to impress. Keep up the good work!
An exciting remix that keeps up the tension and intensity but also keeps things interesting by adding and removing different instruments throughout the track for a pleasant, comprehensive bundle of awesome!
