This is the most hate filled racist love story I've ever seen. I live in Australia and this movie makes it seem like racism is insurmountable because migrants (of course not all)bring their hate with them and plant the seeds of hate in their kids.
What a wonderful tribute to the Queen of all cities. And only Glykeria can make you laugh and cry at the same time like this. The City lives indeed, in our hearts and minds.
I like July London singing this number. But, I was astonished by Sophia Loren singing. Really she is singing and wonderful. The, she dances. What a joy we have to see it. The half of the earth were nocked out entirely.
Well done Mr. Ministry....the Goverment needs to take control of the Greek Shipping Industry..and better wellfare to the Greek people inside the Country....rich ship owners do not want to pay taxes..for that reason they use Panama, Liberia, Majuro flags.....shame on them.!!!
My grandmother's cousin did very often humming on this melody and I came to love it, I wasn't that old and I asked what was the title and she said Never on a Sunday, that was from a Greek movie...But it would take decades before I finally got to hear this one...Found it on a DVD . Melina had a voice that was way outstanding, great. I will never get tired o listen to this song and in this original version from the movie. And never forget my grandmother's cousin either.
I know exactly what you mean. Read what I wrote above. I could well have added Piaf to my list.... They don't seem to "make" women like this any more. "Autres temps, autres moeurs" as we say.
John Oliver is dead wrong here. Varoufakis is undoubtedly a genius--one of the most famous economists in the world. His books have some astounding analysis in them. John has just become an apologist for the machine that Varoufakis keeps raising the alarm about.
The castle in Chania is NOT Turkish, for God's shake. She doesn't know the history of her home city! It was built ny the Byzantines (=Greeks) a thousand years ago, and that was fortified later by the Venetians! Everyone knows that the Turks haven't built anything. They found everything ready and they were just ruining everything. They even bombed Parthenon...
